  1. if you have to intervene in a journalism piece to protect optics, you’ve already lost the story

  2. Awesome. Standing up because they know it’s their last stand anyway. They will all be replaced with podcatsers

  4. I saw it, here’s my rough summary:

Only 3.1% or 8 of the roughly 200 Venezuelan-American immigrant detainees in CECOT had any violent offenses against them, furthermore only 49% of the total detainees had any criminal record and finding out whether or not they’ve committed immigration-related offenses is impossible as ICE refuses to release the full list of detainees sent to CECOT. This analysis was conducted by Human Rights Watch and their findings are but not limited to, torture, sexual and physical assault, health risks caused by contaminated water, disorientation and confusion caused by constant sharp lighting.

The detainees were told they would never see the light of day and was routinely beaten and mistreated in every comprehensible way, a person can abuse another human in.

the moment you leak a 60 minutes segment, you hand control to the internet. cbs tried to steer the ship while it was already sinking.

  6. These people aren’t just terrible their job. They’re freaking incompetent as humans. Do they have to have someone remind them to breathe?

  7. I stopped watching CBS news programming since Bari joined, will continue to not watch……and I’m in that demographic advertisers want.

  8. I wouldn’t have watched it If they hadn’t tried to sweep it under the rug. I think there are a lot of people like me in that regard

I just watched it. What they did to these men is a national disgrace and it’s unconstitutional.

Why are we paying 6 million to a foreign jail in El Salvador instead of sending these men home if they are here illegally? Who exactly is profiting off this? And it’s not even certain that they are here illegally. The hair stylist who was imprisoned was seeking asylum through legal means.

  10. I want to jump to incompetence but at 60 Minutes I blame a brave staffer with journalistic integrity and a spine

  11. About 15 minutes long and worth the watch if anyone isn’t sure; somehow it’s both exactly what we’ve known and way worse at the same time.

I watched a leaked version and it was plainly clear the entire thing was finished for airtime. It is VERY damning toward Trump and Neom and fucking sad. Its clear as day it was canceled last minute due to how bad it makes the administration.
