    >Last month, a federal grand jury in Miami indicted Democratic U.S. Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick on charges that she stole millions in federal disaster-relief funds.

    >According to the indictment, Cherfilus-McCormick, 46, and her brother, Edwin Cherfilus, 51, conspired to steal $5 million in Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) funds that were accidentally overpaid to their family healthcare company in 2021. Prosecutors allege the money was “routed through multiple accounts to disguise its source” before being funneled into Cherfilus-McCormick’s congressional campaign. They also alleged she used the funds to buy a $109,000, 3.14-carat yellow diamond ring from a jewelry store headquartered in New York City.

    >Online observers quickly noticed that what appears to be the same ring is prominently featured in the congresswoman’s official U.S. House portrait, which she regularly shares on her social media accounts.

    >But while Cherfilus-McCormick has continued to post the portrait across Instagram and X (formerly known as Twitter) since the charges were announced, eagle-eyed followers noticed her left hand was conspicuously bare when she reposted the image once again on Christmas Day.

Just think these are the people who are also supposed to representing the hard working Americans in “Honest Fashion” – Heck when The President from Fla. is found Guilty of theft and is a Pedophile hanging over his may be our Senators of the GOP side feel they can get away with whatever they like too.

This is absolutely NOT the way things are suppose to be. But then again, Trump should NOT be in Office either. Before anyone replies – I’m saying ANY OTHER PRESIDENT CANDIDATE regardless of parties would of been a lot better choice as long as they have the intentions of treating people humanely and fair would of done so much better.

  3. Continuing to post on social media while indicted for stealing $5 million from FEMA is wild work.

Doing so with a photo where you photoshop out your ill-gotten gains instead of just using a different photo should catch you another charge.

She probably thinks the same rules that got Rick Scott off for stealing billions applies to her.

Don’t know anything about this woman, democrats or republican, throw her in jail if she’s done some fraudulent shit

  5. I do love to see a good old fashioned politician ratioed on social media. Reminds me of a better time.

  6. if the public entrusts you to serve and you violate that, you should face the harshest consequences, no matter the party

  7. I’m just wondering why people spend $100k on a damn ring because the diamond is “fancy” and “yellow”.

Hold her accountable fully. Jail her if that’s what the law says.

We’re going to put all these nazis in jail, and we need to take care of our own while we do so. I am ready to be a society of laws again.

    To the American public,

Thank you for your generosity this holiday season. In difficult times, it’s reassuring to know that disaster relief funds can still bring a little sparkle and joy💍—right where they’re needed most.

Wishing you peace, resilience, and continued giving in the year ahead.

    With gratitude,

  10. What a total scumbag thing to do. She is owed due process, but should be prosecuted and held to account.

And she will because she is a Democrat.

Now if only the same justice could be had for the likes of Tom Homan. Still havent heard what happened to the $50k that ghoul took as a bribe in the FBI sting.

I remember a time when scandals usually forced politicians into resigning. Not always, but way more than now. Now it’s just so rampant. Really need to start setting an example with these people from the top down.

The punishments need to be harsh enough to make them never even consider it something worth doing. They stole from the public, millions, and somehow their punishments are always less severe than a person who stole a couple hundred from a mini mart
