    To those who wonder.

It’s more expensive to kill a prisoner, than it is to house them for life.

  2. Man, gotta say, IDK how I feel bout all this. On one hand, I get that some ppl truly deserve justice served cold, right? But on the other, it’s like…is more death really the answer? IDK…guess I’m kinda torn on it tbh.🤷‍♂️ Anyways, just my 2 cents. What y’all think?

I’m not shedding tears, but I would support eliminating the death penalty and replacing it with life in a SuperMax prison.

  4. Remember when Dems used to have abolishing the death penalty as part of their party platform? Good times.

  5. Condems people to death, whilst not having to deal with his own crimes and likely not being in governance next elections.

I almost pity him, had it not been for the humans before his judgments.

  6. The article said that, unlike most states, the governor can sign the death warrant or offer clemency. The fact that they are executing more prisoners than any state makes it clear that Florida’s egregiously limiting abortion laws are not about sanctity of life.

Others have questioned the need for some of the executions. In the article: “…Governor DeSantis, he says it is for the victims’ families. And while that is certainly true in some cases, we also work with a lot of victims’ families who don’t want the death penalty and don’t feel that that honors their loved one’s legacy”

So this isn’t families clamoring for an eye for an eye. This is DeSantis being cruel and abusing the power his Republican government has handed him.

The redder the state, the more they love cruelty and torture. If you did a survey in Florida on execution by torture, it would fare better than most would expect.

  8. If they kill a person who is actually innocent of the crime it would not matter. They want the body count. Hard on crime stats more important
