Mamdani came out swinging with executive orders on rent freezes, EV charging expansion, sick leave, and climate resilience, basically turning day one= policy push day. NYC politics just went from slow city hall to fast forward.
If anyone was expecting a “settle in and listen” mayor, Mamdani said lol nope. Renter protections, transit access, progressive priorities before the haters even finish their coffee. This is the opposite of a lame duck intro.
