  1. According to them, EVERY. SINGLE. VOTE. for Mamdani was logged as a seperate “anti-Semitic incident”. I guess a rational and well meaning Muslim is more of a threat to the ADL than the growing tide of white nationalism.

Edit: Apparently this “fact” was a Twitter meme, but the ADL has created a “Mamdani Monitor” and are dedicating a serious amount of resources to try and smear him. To reiterate, Mamdani is a strong progressive candidate (that I hope will be able to prove himself to be an effective mayor), who consistently condemns anti-semitism while staying true to his anti-zionist stance. Anyone who can’t tell the difference between that distinction is uninformed or an ideologue.

Freud called it, “identification with the aggressor,” where you become the thing that terrorized you

So when do we get to start calling it Islamophobia in the media? Or do we only get to do that for antisemitism?

The zionists prove they’re just as hateful as they claim everyone else is.

ADL, the same organization, that concluded and declared that ketamine weevil aka Elon’s ~~Nazi~~ Roman salute is “an awkward gesture in a moment of enthusiasm”

  5. Wasn’t the ADL also working as an apologist for Musk as he was roleplaying a Nazi to excite the MAGA base?   Strange standards they have at the ADL.

  6. Question_It_All_3000 on

When did the ADL become so blatantly corrupt? Just the musk apology? Or was it always this way and I was just super ignorant?

I saw the letters ADL and immediately cringed, thinking Jonathan Greenblatt is going to be on Morning Joe every morning now hijacking the show for 20+ minutes talking about himself

  8. The war crimes of Israel, the IDF and Bibi are the biggest drivers of antisemitism. Calling out atrocities isn’t antisemitism. If the ADF cared they’d address it.

  9. It’s not anti-semitism that they ACTUALLY care about. It’s warning people not to criticize Israel.

  10. Gaius_Octavius_ on

The far left is the biggest driver of antisemitism currently. They have zero sympathy left for Israel’s side and have become extremely pro-Palestine regardless of their actions.

  11. CommonConundrum51 on

The biggest driver of antisemitism is Bibi’s Israel in concert with its poorly concealed foreign influence operations.

Pro-israel groups realized that the old narrative surrounding Palestine and israel had been utterly obliterated, that’s why TikTok was such a target for many of these groups.

Freedom of information, social media and smartphones all helped younger people learn about the reality of israel’s treatment of Palestinians, starting from the Nakba and then decades of refusal to allow refugees to return to their home.

Now, many of these previously “liberal” or Democratic leaning groups decided that the better bet is joining the pro censorship crowd, cozying up to tech billionaire Nazis who they believe can control the narrative via social media and AI.

They’ll excuse a Sieg Heil if it helps protect their ethnic supremacist fortress in Palestine.

Is it too much to ask for that the ADL combats antisemitism on both the left and right? I absolutely despise the Fuentes and Tucker carlsons of the world and the damage that they do to the Jewish community, and I wish the ADL went after them much harder.

But is it a bad thing that they set up that mamdani monitor to identify mamdani’s hires with antisemitic histories? the article is wrong in claiming that mamdanis team fired the people that the monitor caught. De costa resigned on her own volition, and tamika Mallory (amongst others who have histories of antisemitism) remains on his team.

Furthermore, it seems like the headline and first half of the article exist just to allow the author to shoehorn their own narrative (filled with inaccuracies) on the Israel/palestine conflict in the second half. If the pro-Palestine movement cares so much about separating Jews and Israel like the claim, articles like this need to stick to focusing on antisemitism like the headline claims without bringing Israel into the conflict.

For the record, criticism of Israel is not antisemitism, nor is wanting a two state solution. Most Israelis have wanted a two state solution for decades. To claim that people accuse pro-Palestine protestors of being antisemitic because they want a two state solution, as the article does, is a gross misrepresentation of reality. Not only do virtually no Jews or Israelis claim that, but also virtually nobody from the pro-Palestine movement wants a two state solution in the first place. They never protest for that.

These groups usually do not care about solving their own issues. Using the call of anti-semitism just creates a stronger jewish identity and thus a stronger pro-israel identity among Jews.

Sounds like they’re concerned with political optics rather than advocating for intelligent guidelines and rules for healthy governance of a civil society

    Weird how common that is

  16. It’s an unserious organization that seeks to further very specific political goals. When your goals and actions 100% align with a specific nation you no longer have any credibility.

  17. ADL cares about one thing and it’s green

Mamdani is a once-in-a-generation cultural touchstone and the ADL can rake in donations by spinning the narrative. And believe me they are going to strike while the iron is HOT.

  18. rocksoffjagger on

The ADL doesn’t give a shit about antisemitism. It cares about advancing the agenda of the state of Israel. It’s led by a bunch of Zionists who would rather violate the core principles the ADL was supposedly founded on by supporting a genocide than actually adress the massive rise in antisemitism in right-wing politics, because those right wing antisemites happen to be useful for Israel.

  19. Mamdani’s first action in office was to redefine antisemitism in NYC. All Jews should be worried.

  20. SillyAlternative420 on

The ADL has no credibility on either side of the aisle anymore.

The left and the right are done with them.

  21. TellTaleTimeLord on

People would be more inclined and able to recognize real antisemitism if you didn’t have POTUS telling them being anti genocide is the same thing as antisemitism

  22. SubwayHero4Ever on

ADL lost all credibility when they outright didn’t condemn Elmo’s Nazi salute.

edit: what little credibility they had left.
