The US President revealed more of his plans for the South American nation in a phone interview with US broadcaster Fox News.
He said: “We have the greatest oil companies in the world, the biggest, the greatest, and we’re going to be very much involved in it.”
Trump added that US forces sustained “a few injuries” during the military operation and stormed a “highly-guarded fortress”, capturing the Venezuelan president and his wife.

China has been conducting drills to impose a naval blockade upon Taiwan. They encircled the island just four days ago. Would the U.S. be able to defend Taiwan–and its semiconductor chip manufacturing industry–while engaging in large scale military adventurism in South America? My hunch is that China doesn’t think that the U.S. can fight two wars at the same time. Seems like what we have here is Trump being an imperialist for old tech (oil) while China will exercise imperialism for new tech (control of the global semiconductor supply chain).
