  1. Denmark is a part of NATO. I know he has sycophants around him, but someone should be intelligent enough to tell him

Denmark should move nukes over…I’m just saying look at the countries the imperialist go after and the ones they don’t..

  3. I’m not even sure Trump is smart enough to realize that he’d have to send troops to Denmark instead of Greenland.

We already know he isn’t smart enough to realize that if he wants another country to want to join the US as a new state, he’d have to make the US, overall, way more appealing than their current government.

  4. > Just hours after the US military operation in Venezuela, the rightwing podcaster Katie Miller – the wife of Stephen Miller, Donald Trump’s powerful deputy chief of staff for policy – posted on X a map of Greenland draped in the stars and stripes with the caption: “SOON.”

What an easy thing to say from a woman who lives on a military base. Denmark’s ambassador replied with:

    > “And yes, we expect full respect for the territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Denmark.”

European leaders need to drop the attitude that this isn’t very serious. They showed the world yesterday they are very serious about spheres of influence. I know defense spending has increased but it’s time to start acting like this is a plan in the works.

I’m not saying Trump is the dumbest person on earth, but he better hope the dumbest person doesn’t die.

if the us wanted greenland that bad, theyd buy it like they tried before… not bomb their way in.

  7. Huh!

I did not previously know that Greenland is a narco-terroristic state requiring invading and regime change.

    not sure if /s

At least this time he won’t be lying when he says “No boots on the ground”. Hope his troops have snowshoes.

  9. not just greenland. every country that russia and china dont grab he will take over. the start of a new world order under 3 dictatorships and americans had to let this happen cause of cost of living making them be too afraid to do more to fight back

Iceland here. All this is disgusting and I will never forgive the americans for this.

  11. Not happening. The US wouldn’t have just sold 1.8 billion of military aircraft to Denmark – for patrolling the arctic mind you – if this were true.

Watching Lil Marco this morning, it’s clear they have no coherent plan as to how they intend to run a sovereign nation in this supposed interim. We’re expected to believe that the Venezuelan government, their military, and their citizens, will simply roll over and agree to US military rule for the foreseeable future. More importantly, the supposed oil companies that are, again supposedly, going to invest in rebuilding Venezuelan infrastructure seemed to have no idea that this was the plan, and even if they’re simply playing coy, the question of how they expect to accomplish that without further turmoil remains.

This entire plan seems to hinge on every actor simply giving up and walking away, and I’ll bet my shoes that this won’t be the case- especially considering the administration’s immediate pivot to threats against Cuba, Mexico, etc.

This is a powder keg, and Conservatives are either blind as a result of their sycophancy, or they’re willing to engage in an incredibly bloody and violent war across our hemisphere.

If the US has engaged in a war FIFA should pull the tournament out of the N. America and keep it where it belongs in Europe.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but could Denmark invoke NATO Article 5 and force the rest of Europe to attack the US?

  15. The EU is like the one place that has consistently been our ally.

So let’s throw that relationship in the trashcan!

    -probably Trump

Time to deploy a friendly multi national force to defend Greenland from US annexation.

  17. Fabulous_Pressure_96 on

They say it will happen, so it will happen. Don’t be illusionally naive. The other NATO/EU members don’t have the power to prevent that. If they’re even willing to do so. Based on recent reactions, they won’t do anything. In that sense they’re already more puppets then Venezuela.

  18. That’s a whole different matter since there are NATO implications and Europe would hopefully come to their defense. The US needs to be knocked down a peg or two. Said as an American.

  19. MAGA can claim Maduro was a narcoterrorist, but wtf had Denmark done to deserve an attack? Oh right, nothing.

  20. NocturnalSaaS on

America has become an openly imperialist state, ruled with no checks and balances by a deranged conman, rapist, and child sex trafficker.

The rest of the civilized world needs to unite and agree upon a response.

  21. As a Norwegian the thought of Denmark being attacked is sickening. They are our neighbours and brothers, but we are powerless to help against the might of the US military. Besides they’ll probably just disable all our F-35s or threaten to nuke us if we intervene.

    Horrible times ahead.

I commented the same in another thread and was asked by an American “How would you feel if the Greenlanders asked for a referendum to vote on whether to cede from Denmark and become an independent country?”

So it’s clear what the plan might be.
