Democrats begin to call for Trump’s impeachment over Venezuela attack: “Many Democrats have understandably questioned whether impeachment is possible again under the current political reality,” Rep. Maxine Waters said. “I am reconsidering that view.”

It’s pointless and yet they should try and impeach him anyway. Doing nothing isn’t an option.

  2. No-Group-4504 on

They should be calling for it. What are they supposed to do?

    They are now threatening Greenland…

WTF did you get us into MAGA????

  3. literallytwisted on

Of course they should! It doesn’t matter if it’s an empty gesture as the point is to constantly push back! People want politicians that will fight every battle whether they win or lose.

Like the video telling the military not to follow illegal orders, It did reach people even if it wasn’t obvious. They should be doing things like that every week.

Democrats’ calls for Trump’s impeachment over the Venezuela strike raise legitimate constitutional concerns, but it’s largely symbolic without a House majority and 2/3 Senate support. The bigger issue is that unchecked executive military action sets a concerning precedent for future presidents.

  5. Look, 2025 is in the past now. It’s headed to the history books and we can see what the Democratic “resistance” in Congress looked like with 20/20 hindsight.

Are people seriously arguing that a legacy of “they tried and failed to impeach Trump 50 times while he was doing all those crimes” would look *worse than what actually happened in 2025*? Seriously?

People keep saying to keep the powder dry and they kept the powder dry all last year. To what end?

There are now dozens if not hundreds of things he’s done that merit impeachment.

it’s all performative bullshit. The USA hasn’t a spine to stand up to actual evil.

  8. Since the US invaded and extracted the leader over claims that have yet to be proven, with the support of part of the population invaded, why dont another country do the and towards the US?

The democrats have always been doing this during this administration. Nothing is going to happen unless he’s physically removed from office with force if need be. Doing things the legal way and through standard procedure is not going to work. This administration hasn’t been held accountable for anything and will keep doing it. They act if they are above the law…The president is a public servant who has become king in his mind. I am sick and tired of the same song and dance.

  10. Maxine Waters is still selling the same impotent bs she’s always peddled.
We need a new breed who doesn’t assume defeat.

There is not a political process that fixes this. Only when the people force those who support to faces social consequences can this be fixed.

  12. The point is to model behavior that pushes back on this corrupt dictatorship. Will you always succeed? No. Does that mean you should do nothing? No. Try to impeach, try to take a stand. Slow things down, and most importantly LEAD your party.

  13. AnonAmbientLight on

Yea but if they do that it has to come with a list of things Democrats plan to do or want to do (affordability, healthcare, etc).

The American populace doesn’t understand impeachment and doesn’t understand why it has to happen. They’re too fucking dumb to get it.

You need simple shit they understand in order to make any headway with them.

  14. I’m sure that they’ll get right on that before Trump invades Greenland or Canada or bombs Mexico, not afterwards…

Be went on live TV and reportedly confessed that he knowingly and willingly violated The War Poowers Act by not advising Congress in advance.

If violating The War Powers Act isn’t a big crime or misdemeanor, then nothing is.

  16. I support trying to impeach him over this. Its a very clear cut example of showing the people where the chips stand in terms of their reps.

It’ll take a bit of political capital, but its worth it in this situation.

  17. continentwarning on

Democratic politicians will always talk like this. Their brains are warped by faith in the rule of law. If bombs dropped here tomorrow they’d tell us they are considering and questioning this or that as everything burned around them.

  18. TheGOPisTheDeepState on

Trump and everyone involved need to be impeached, convicted, and throw in a fucking cell. Bring back law and order! The GOP deepstate committing so many crimes foreign and domestic.

  19. flux_of_grey_kittens on

Start proceedings on him and every fucking cabinet member. They’ve all done many impeachable things.

  20. Republicans will never hold their own accountable.

Republicans need to lose 20 Senate seats for impeachment conviction to be realistic.

  21. The only reason the Senate failed to convict for the second impeachment was Trump had already left office at that time. The evidence proved he fraudulently attempted to overturn the election and conspired to have a mob interrupt the peaceful transfer of power.

He’s in office now and there’s even more evidence of his guilt.

  22. He’s renewed his comments on wanting to annex Greenland.. what’s next? Us in Canada? Removing the Columbian or Mexican leaders?

ALL AMERICANS SHOULD WANT THIS WHOLE ADMINISTRATION REMOVED!

  23. Any Dem that doesn’t support impeachment is a traitor to the United States and should be removed from office. I expect nothing from the GOP and not much more from the Dems.

We are being governed by the billionaire class and Republican and Democrat voters are suffering equally under our existing government.

  24. TheMonsterPainter on

Let the Republicans wear Donald Trump and instead systematically impeach his cabinet and advisers.

  25. Calm_Chemist_4952 on

Please do it. He is the absolute worst president of all time. The sooner we are rid of him the better.

  26. The war-mongering American people were so full of hatred – for brown people and queer people and pronouns in bios and a black president with a tan suit – so fucking bad that they voted for this, and many of them will continuously support it as long as this regime keep hurting the right people.

More suffering is coming, and they will cheer. They asked for this, and the ones that didn’t stood by and did nothing. I will never forgive my fellow Americans for this reality. Impeachment is irrelevant at this point. If he is gone, there will just be another. The door has been opened and I fear it cannot be closed.

  27. Why ask if it’s possible? Just hold the vote and let the names be on record for who supports it and who doesn’t.

  28. Yes they should impeach him, but the smart strategy would be to wait until Jeffries becomes speaker and impeach Vance for hiding Trump’s dementia among the rest of the illegal things they have done.. Trump needs house and senate approval for a new VP, won’t happen. Natural Causes does its thing and Jeffries becomes President and we can start getting out of this nightmare.

  29. Odd-Strength-3789 on

They know what they have to say, and what image they need to project to regain some of the power they ceded back this year. But regaining some or all of their power won’t necessarily help their working class constituents. They are mainly upper middle class, and ruling class, and aren’t really concerned about the working class & the poor.

  30. Mist republicans will not back thr democrats because their to scared to lose any power and money. Same reason the are protecting the pedophiles.

  31. We have like a thousand reasons before this. Impeachment grounds are everywhere They didn’t need this latest thing.

  32. Those articles of impeachment should be written and rewritten and resubmitted everyday. Should’ve been since day one, confidence in this administration has never been there and democrats only now “thinking” about it is embarrassing.
