That’s it. I’ve had enough. I’m going to call my senator today and tell him to stop. And I’m going to be stern.

Seyfried shared a clip of Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey speaking about the shooting and telling ICE to “Get the f*** out of Minneapolis” before sharing a passage from George Orwell’s novel *1984* which has become regularly quoted online in connection with Trump’s second administration. It read: “The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.”
If movies, books, and video games need universal villains–well here they are.

Abolish ICE was an extreme view in the past, but it’s going to be a campaign promise by the end of Trumps term.
The agency is now full of untrained white nationalist scum and has no credibility.
No one will want to work for or with ICE who isn’t trash.
It’s beyond redemption.
You would be better off spending the money on litterally anything else.
Next Dem president, If we get one, should cut ICE’s funding to zero on day one.
Trump and republicans set the precident that the president can stop funds from going to anything where there is waste and abuse.

Are we back to giving a shit what celebrities think though?

This is a good thing. People will actually take this seriously if a celebrity they love and respect condemns it. That isn’t all that different from what Trump said about Rob Reiner – condemnation across the political spectrum. Though it didn’t impact him much, it wasn’t a good look for Trump.

I can’t understand why anyone would want to challenge cops. They carry guns and are trained to use deadly force. What exactly did Renee die for? Why would anyone want to risk everything and pay the ultimate price? What influenced her to want to risk it all?

Isn’t it lovely that in the USA you can say that black people are too stupid to vote but they put a limit on the word Fuck when it comes to freedom of speech?

Thank god we have celebrities chiming in, the common folk wouldn’t know what to think without the input of Hollywood stars.

Don’t try to drive onto a federal law enforcement officer and you won’t be shot. Pretty simple. That’s how the rest of the general public stays alive during the millions of encounters with law enforcement every year.

When I rewatch the video it appears that the ICE officer intentionally out himself in a position so he could justify the murder. Did he go to work angry? It was clear that the driver had no intention to hurt anyone.

Sorry, but celebrities “speaking out” is not going to help. Nobody is coming to save us – WE have to do the work ourselves.
