It’s pretty clear that they’re intentionally taking a different approach to the Administration’s response to the George Floyd murder. In that case, there was some level of deference, let the investigation play out, “we understand people are angry,” etc. with plenty of racism and dogwhistles mixed in.
It didn’t work and that summer of protest greatly damaged the regime. What they’re doing now is essentially the opposite. They’re branding the killer as a hero, lying profusely, and stifling any attempt at an investigation. His rapid (and vile) response along the dog killing lady plus a MASSIVE social media disinfo campaign suggests that he’s all in on such an approach.
Buckle up, because this is going to get so ugly.

The EASIEST response to this would have been to scapegoat the individual ICE agent and say you’ll be investigating the actions and holding the agent accountable (even if it is a lie)

You have to be an animal to justify lethal force on someone for temporarily blocking a lane of traffic. He stood in front of her vehicle after she had backed off and steered away from ICE, and that motherfucker drew, then shot her through the windshield (saw the hole in photo of SUV post-crash) with his right hand BEFORE he took the half step out of the way and shot her twice more through the window.
The critical detail I saw in all the different angles of video is that she was steering AWAY from the murderer while she was being shot, and the murderer was clear of the vehicle the whole time, even though he shot before he stepped aside.
So they’ve gone full Gestapo. Nice.
And no, “Gestapo” isn’t hyperbolic. This is exactly what they did.

Deadly force against an unarmed protestor is NEVER justified. EVER.
How was the guy “defending his life”?
Shooting into a car puts his life and others at the scene in way more danger.
Shooting a driver of a vehicle does not stop a car from moving. In fact it makes it much MORE likely that they will react to the immediate pain of being shot by pressing the accelerator and losing control of the vehicle.
So there is no scenario where this could be viewed as self defense and in fact is the complete opposite: putting himself and everyone else in danger while murdering an innocent person.
In a functioning democracy the police cannot and should not be judge, jury and executioner.
ICE agents were literally giving conflicting orders as they often do because they’re poorly trained baboons who are too incompetent to do anything else for a living
