But these sorts of things are bound to happen. ICE agents are humans. Activists are humans. Mistakes on all sides and an unfortunate result. And we don’t know the legal consequences yet. Many officers face charges and many get off. The circumstances increase the odds of this sort of thing happening.

One underreported thing about the Trump admin 2.0, is that it is a nearly entirely-terminally-online administration. Everything they do is for an increasingly insular inner circle of brain-rotted Twitter loser dipshits.
This is markedly different than Trump 1.0, which was horrible, but was mostly a normal Presidential admin with a few batfuck lunatics and a batfuck lunatic in charge of it.
2.0 is much different. Every single person in the cabinet is not only monstroulsy unqualified, but they are all deeply insular weirdos, drunk on nazi Twitter propaganda.
Everything they do is for a Twitter audience. All the federal Twitter accounts are shit-posting memes and other shit that doesn’t even make sense except to a handful of incels.
It’s really hard to overstate how fucking insane this is. How insane *they* all are. Like, legit insane. Like, these people are deeply mentally unstable.
I am not saying this as a matter of finding their ideology abhorrent. I do, but that’s not what this is about.
Every single thing they do is influencer shit. The entire administration, every person in it, they don’t actually *do* things. They don’t have strategies, or policies. They don’t have a plan for what comes after Maduro. They just did it. Because it was “cool.”
Every single thing they do is like this. ICE is just roving gangs of cosplaying losers, showing up places in force to be videoed acting tough. They have no coherent deportation strategy. Nothing of material value they’re actually *doing* out there with all that money.
Everything about the admin is like this. The genuinely, truly don’t have plans. They just do things, gloat and tweet about them, all for an audience of like, 1,000 incels that find this cool. That’s it. That’s *all* there is to them.
