AI is a cancer on society. You can’t eat it. You can’t wear it. It won’t house your kids. It’s intended only to make billionaires richer. AI is a “Giant vampire squid wrapped around the face of humanity, relentlessly plunging its blood funnel into anything that smells of money.” Or political dissent.
Demand massively up, power sector emissions down.
That’s a huge boon to China as getting off oil dependence has been their number one goal for some time. All their incentives to move to mass renewables and EV’s has paid off and much faster than expected.
That’s literally part of why they are installing so many windmills and solar panels, because of thekr energy usage being so high and wanting to be able to be energy independent.
Remeber China also wants to stay the largest manufacting country in the world as well, that doesnt happen without increased power demand.
They needed to get it from somewhere and not be dependant on foreign sources
Trump’s delivering technological leadership on a silver platter to China and taking the US back to the 19th century.
Really wish people could keep the difference between electricity and energy straight. Also important to remember the difference between production and consumption.
