Trump’s Appalling Threat Leaves No Doubt: It’s Time for the 25th Amendment – There is no longer any denying the president is unable to carry out the demands of his office.

His cabinet are all hand-picked sycophants so expecting them to use the 25th amendment is asinine.

It was time for the 25th Amendment when he tore down the East Wing to build himself a gaudy ballroom. Or when he admitted he didn’t know how groceries worked.

The 25th Amendment should have been invoked a LONG time ago.

Nothing will happen.

At this point it wouldn’t be surprising if even if his establishment decided to revoke the 2nd amendment tomorrow, his voters would clap while congress does literally nothing

Situations like this are what impeachment is for. Headlines bring up the 25th because it’s obvious that the Republicans will never allow an impeachment to happen. Removal via the 25th amendment requires even more Republican cooperation than impeachment. Impeachment takes a simple majority in the house and a 2/3 majority in the senate. The 25th requires the vice president, a majority of the cabinet, and 2/3 of both houses of congress.

“Carrying out the demands of his office”? That’s pretty cute. He doesn’t give a shit about his ‘office’. He cares about his fucking pocket. And the demands are coming from his buyers.

I feel like all of this cynicism toward Americans (warranted of course) is also forgetting what is happening in Minnesota. Protestors are facing ICE knowing they could be injured/detained/worse but they aren’t backing down. It’s honestly been really inspiring to me.

Let’s also not fight the amazing gains in Virginia in the small amount of time that the Dems took control of their state legislature.
