Okay, I need to ask lawyers here since the law subreddit won’t answer. Republicans keep pushing this speaker of the house phone subpoena and how they kept the information secret from the subject. Is this crap? It seems petty and irrelevant to me, but maybe there’s something I don’t understand. This is why I’m asking here. Do they have a legal standing? Is this that important? Is this wildly inappropriate as they’re claiming? It’s seems like such a minor thing. It was just a phone log.
