4th amendment is very clear. No ICE memo that wasn’t ratified by the states as an amendment matters. They are terrorists.

Without enforcement, what difference does it make?

Based on how these things go, I expect it to be appealed and stayed by Tuesday (only because of the weekend).

They will issue another memo telling agents to disregard the radical left judge.

This is a good step in upholding our rights. I hope more Federal judges follow this interpretation. And it’s important for citizens to support this.

More of a suggestion nowadays.

This will mean exactly nothing. Are we really believing that they didn’t know it was unconstitutional before the judge ruled on it? They will 100% continue to do it.

Well, at least the ruling is correct. Whether it gets enforced is another matter unfortunately.

Laws and rulings haven’t stopped anything this fascist regime wants to do thus far.
Start enforcing. Oh wait, the people meant to enforce the laws are fascists… Hmm.

I don’t get how there are never consequences. Violating someone’s rights is arguable worse than a lot of crimes. Yet the judicial branch has no power to punish the officers and their superiors who issue the policy?

Of course, why wouldn’t they?

That is our constitution at work, folks. Don’t give up on us just because we have a regime that is trying to destroy it.
It’s hard as eff, but, it is worth fighting for.

And is it retroactive to everyone who’s already been rounded up?

Lets add this to the no shit sherlock pile. Problem is, ICE is operating on a “who is going to stop me” basis.

ICE is making up the rules as they go and praying that people will OBEY IN ADVANCE to make their fascism seem normal.
DON’T OBEY IN ADVANCE

How long unit the Supreme Court “ pauses” the ruling or outright reverses it on the shadow docket? Let’s start a betting pool.

Can we reframe this a bit. US judge reminds ICE they are full of shit.
It’s not like this things are up for debate. Is a ruling even necessary? It feels like it legitimizes the assumed breaking of the law.

Yeah because these internal memos don’t mean anything. Just like the executive orders don’t mean anything. You can’t just amend the constitution with a memo. The fact that our news outlets keep publishing this stuff and giving it gravity and weight is insane, it’s not even close to being enforceable.

Right, and who will be enforcing that?
