I was saddened, in 2024 when I saw Americans embrace fascism and I was angry and I said things to people that they really didn’t like. But I don’t want this to be an I-told-you-so. That’s so pointless right now.
It has come to this in 2026 and it seems more and more obvious to me that the United States is dealing with a fascist movement that is in power and that seeks to expand its power even further into other institutions, such as the courts and the education system, that have not yet completely surrendered to it.
I take heart, however, in finally seeing an awakening. Minneapolis and the other protests across America are the proof that sane people outnumber the fascist and that once awoken, they will show up in such great numbers as to make fascism impossible.
And not only must Trump go, there needs to be justice. Serious inquiries on all his enablers, the why, the how, the how-did-they-profit, the constant lying, the corruption…
All of this and the job of reconstructing… I know, tough road ahead.
But… first order of business… get rid of these people.
