  1. Here’s what Trump counts on and the only reason his tired act works – in the end, almost everyone acts in their own best interest.

He exposes the precarious quality and limits of altruism. Taking advantage of the uncivilized aspects of human nature.

  2. Ffs, please. Yes. Do it. Do it now. Democrats can’t even boycott cartoonishly evil companies like walmart and amazon. Giant fucking hypocrites. We need people to actually start having some principles around here.

When American officials considered boycotting the 1936 Olympics in Berlin, Avery Brundage returned with empty promises and no interest to boycott because “Regardless of in what country the Olympic Games are held, there will be some group, some religion, or some race that can register a protest because of the action of the government of that country, past or present.”

People will do any mental gymnastics they need to in order to still have their bread and circuses. This one official sees the big picture, but I’d be surprised if he can get everyone on board given the amount of money at stake

  4. It’s huge that this is even mentioned. Not only because the insane amount of money involved, lets not even talk about FIFA and their love to greed adn corruption, but the passion that this invokes in the fans and players. The World Cup is huge, for many countries just playing there is the prize. For others like Germany, their is a real shot to win. Something players dream about their whole lives. Just ask Messi to give up his win with Argentina. I bet he would sacrifice almost all of his leauge titles, CL’s or BD’s before he gave that one up.

If it came down to countries boycotting the World Cup then we got some seismic stuff going on. Bigger then any trade bazookas or stuff like that. This is real people who live and work just so they can enjoy their team and their national team play some football. To sacrifice that then the world is burning for some change. Not just ready, but burning.

  5. Never mind Greenland, I’m in favour of a boycott over the comments about NATO soldiers. And about ten other things actually.

  6. Boycott the Olympics too. There is literally an Epstein associate as the chairman of the LA Olympic Committee right now. Casey Wasserman was on the plane and in his black book. His fucking grand kid has a photo with Epstein and Maxwell. He should be under investigation and not planning the fucking Olympics.

Trump doesn’t care about soccer, he will be happy to cancel the event if it means getting the other things he wants.

  8. I also think it would be unfortunate if a bunch of people went to the USA for the World Cup and got detained

  9. Before it comes to that he already renamed it Peace board world championship and asked nations pay a billion to his private account in Dubai to participat.e

    South africa – brazil – russia – qatar – usa – saudi

Meh, the us fits right in. Also, infantino is just as corrupt as the rapist in chief, so he probably feels even more strongly, that the us is the right choice now

  11. I’ll believe it when I see it. FIFA (and the IOC) won’t do jack shit. There’s too much money involved. They just gave Cheeto their made-up fake “Peace Prize.” I just hope the stands at the U.S. games aren’t full and that people attend the games in Canada and Mexico instead.

  12. Over the Greenland demands? Not ICE? Not over banning a bunch of participants countries from entering the U.S.? Not his demonization of South Americans?
It’s SAD that it took THIS LONG for people to consider boycotting the world cup. We need to have ZERO foreigners show up, save their money, and spend it back home. The United States does NOT deserve your tourism dollars. Stay away from this dumpster fire

Just Fucking Do IT.. After Trump puts a bullshit Tarrif threat out, the entire world can stop trading with U.S. No matter the cost. We should be treated like Germany was after WWI

  14. At the end of the day, unless teams boycott it, the FIFA will just dump ticket prices to ensure the stadiums are full of locals.

Perception is all that matters now.

  15. I think the chance of actually boycotting the World Cup is slim to none. Money talks and it is the biggest sporting event. Only way there is a boycott is if the orange turd does invade Greenland militarily.

  16. ExpensiveDuck1278 on

Do it. And nobody should come to the Olympics if he’s not gone before then. I don’t understand how such evil hearts can even keep beating. It seems like the very air we breathe would turn against such horrible people. It seems like Stephen Miller would’ve swallowed his tail by now.

  17. Please boycott the US as much as possible. Most of our politicians don’t care what we want. They only respond to their billionaire masters. We need financial pain. It’s going to happen regardless. Let’s get it over with and get Trump out before he literally burns our country to the ground.

  18. I say go there with some nasty fan chants and show up the dictator on the greatest stage with the world looking on.

  19. As an American, please do it. Make this country wake up and hurt the rich the way they hurt the vulnerable.

  20. YourFleshlightSaysHi on

Reckless. Inhumane. Irresponsible. Failing to boycott would be all these things and worse.

  21. What kind of crazy people want to go to a country with a government that openly hates any non-white American Christian person and where you might be killed or put in a goulag without due process just for an ICE agent didn’t like the way you look or just wants to beat you up for the fun of it?

  22. Are players from other countries going to be allowed visas? Are they going to be safe from ICE and deportation to jails in other countries if they enter the stadium? How many fans attending the games are liable to be snatched as they walk in? Honestly, we deserve to have these games – and the Olympics – stripped from us… just like Germany was banned from the Olympics in the ’20s and the ’40s. Accountability. It’s all we are asking for.
