  1. Hey Chris, you know you can be a republican and not support MAGA, right?

If you don’t believe in what they’re doing, maybe the right thing to do is work to change the party, not just quit.

  2. From what I understand that narrows it down for the MyPillow guy to get his ass absolutely handed to him in the general. Talking big down ballot wins as well due to that freak being at the top of the ticket.

  3. Clownsinmypantz on

Lmao its very telling he just ends the bid instead of just not going along with the hivemind, he’s saying the quiet part out loud. MAGA and republicanism is the same thing.

  4. Bullshit! He dropped out of the race because he would lose so badly it would be humiliating for him and the GOP.

  5. > In a surprise video announcement, the Minneapolis attorney said he supported the originally stated goals of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s operation in Minnesota, including the deportation of undocumented immigrants with serious criminal records, but the effort has “expanded far beyond its stated focus on true public safety threats.”
“United States citizens, particularly those of color, live in fear. United States citizens are carrying papers to prove their citizenship. That’s wrong,” Madel said.

These *are* the original goals, Chris. You just never bothered to notice.

If you’re a disgruntled Republican who wants to stick it to the party then don’t quit. Instead, run for office again and lose to your opponent. It’s easy to lose. Just support trump’s health care plan, which is no plan. Oppose all abortion. Oppose all contraception. Mandate bible studies in all schools. MAGA all the way. This way your life won’t be threatened by the MAGAniacs and you will stick it to them by being voted out. If this plan fails then you can always resign later for any reason, just don’t resign now.

  7. Leave the (R) party if you want to make a difference.

Otherwise, fuck you too. He’s probably just waiting for this to blow over so he and the GOP can get back to undermining democracy the old fashioned way.

    They’re all fucking scumbags.

  8. Man I knew Walz was being too hasty ending his campaign. He ain’t losing in this environment.

  9. Worldly_Possible2925 on

Or, now hear me out on this; he didn’t want to be the contact person for the frustration and anger 😡 of every single person in Minnesota from now until Election Day.

  10. Bro just realized he bet on the wrong horse after providing legal counsel to Jonathan Ross. This guy isn’t even qualified to be MAGA.

  11. He knows Ice has killed any Republicans chance at winning this year. And doesn’t want to waste resources.

And that staying in the race and telling the truth will get him death threats.

And that Trump’s FBI won’t take threats against politicians/candidates seriously unless they are repeating his lies.

  12. No-Selection988 on

…so he’s dropping out to make room for a candidate that DOES approve of ICE’s actions? How the fuck does that make sense? Why not stay in the race, and if you win, then you know, you’ll be part of the solution?

  13. Instead of standing up and fighting for Republicans ideals that were standard a few decades ago, they drop out and run away. Republicans who aren’t outright foaming at the mouth fascists are cowards.

  14. ProudPainting6850 on

👏 good! I wish this was happening across the country. Fascism, in the United States?! And fucking Maganites are supporting this crap? While Russia LAUGHS in their faces cheering for America’s destruction smh

  15. SatanicPanic619 on

It’s fucked up the guy sees something terrible in the GOP and instead of saying he’ll stop it when he’s governor, he realizes there’s no way Republicans will vote for him. MAGA is actively looking for the least moral person to vote for.

  16. So Trump has endorsed the mypillow guy and sent his private army to terrorize the state?

Yeah at this point they are clearly not trying to win democratically. I don’t think they have any intention of allowing elections.

  17. Funny how he isn’t changing his views he just isn’t running because he knows he can’t win while also being openly pro-ice

  18. So don’t play along dam it, rather than let a possible shil take your place don’t run along with the GOP maga idiots. Be the Republican that we need in office instead of part of the problem. I’ll take an actual republican over a maga any day. Bring back actual bi partisanship cooperation and work together to solve things.

  19. rodimusprime119 on

I read that not as he is ending his bid but to chicken shit to keep going and openly defy master Trump.

He should stay in and make it clear he does not support Dump. Instead it is allowing more of Trump fascist yes men to get in and keep controlling the party.

  20. I want to believe he’s standing on principals. Given what I’m learning about him looks more like he just realizes it will be a blowout and doesn’t want to be embarrassed. Then he thinks he’ll come back in a couple years as the principaled republican. People who still think we’re doing things the pre 2016 way are nuts.

  21. LifeMoratorium on

Why not be a GOP governor that also opposes bad things? I don’t get it. Hard work, sure, breaking from the lizardmen but somebody needs to do it.

  22. Retribution is the primary way for the mob-boss. The Fuhrer demands loyalty and punishes any and all who bucks his stable genius plan. I should say “plans’ in plural since he changes his mind two or three times a week.

  23. Expert-Explorer8894 on

What about the other 49 states Chris? Do you support, as you describe in the most milk-toast way you could, “Federal Retribution.” I prefer to borrow a word from Mark Carney and call it a ‘Rupture’ from America’s Constitution, Bill of Rights, and Declaration of Independence all at once. Donald Trump is the Russian serving domestic enemy we all feared, who infiltrated the highest office of the land in the most powerful country in the world. Evil has been unleashed on every single one of us. If you don’t feel it yet, be patient, it will find you.

  24. Troutsniffer1983 on

Don’t try to convince me now that the GOP has members with spines. Not believable.

  25. Wait so instead of going against the party line he decided to just duck out altogether? Fucking coward. Run if elected be a GOP governor who has some backbone now that your conscience has caught up with you and pushback against Trump.

  26. I wouldn’t want to run as GOO anywhere in the next decade that isn’t pure red. They are going to get absolutely shit kicked.

  27. Smart guy, regardless is he believe what he actually says or not, he is saving his political career from freefall.

  28. BrilliantCorner on

    >Madel also said he believes President Donald Trump deserves credit for many things, such as brokering a ceasefire in Gaza

The ceasefire only happened because there was hardly anyone left to kill. Trump gets **ZERO** points awarded for “brokering a ceasefire in Gaza”.

    Fuck these liars.

  29. THIS is what “Country ahead of party” looks like.

If serious GOP candidates step away from competitive races, this could actually work…

(if you even get to an election that is…)

  30. I’m a proponent of even the most heinous criminals getting a zealous *legal* defense, but don’t let our useless media try to spin this.

This guy isn’t just doing that. This guy saw tens of thousands of examples of MAGA police abuses and brutality and said “this is a cult movement I don’t just want to support in court, I love it so much I want to run for office for this, I want to be the elected LEADER of this.”

I will not be surprised in the least when he’s out there gaslighting people with a fake contrast “Alex Pretti is an example of when someone shouldn’t be shot just like Renee Good trying to kill police is an example of when it’s justified.”

Like seriously people, this guy voluntarily signed up to be MAGA leadership in December 2025. He KNOWS what the cult is.

My best guess is had zero chance of winning his bid so he’s casting that aside but trying to leverage it for his paid gig defending the other MAGA murderer Jonathan Ross.

  31. If you want to stop MAGA from doing this, stay in the race so you can primary them.

There are two elections that happen each year where we can stop them. The primaries and the general election. If MAGA is stopped in the primaries, they can’t win the general election.

  32. My unenlightened guess at what’s going on is that his two daughters were his better angels here. He nearly says as much in the video.

I have often wondered, where are the politicians kids? I know that the media is loathe to report on the goings-on of family members, especially children, which I get. But if a child steps forward to call out their parent, that would be newsworthy. I may be completely wrong here, but there has to be enough intrafamily outrage that we’d be hearing more of this, right?

  33. lubbalubbadubdubb on

Where is Jesse Ventura when you need him? He would be out there speaking truth to power, demonstrating positive masculinity and protesting in the streets with the people if he was Governor still.
