Trump claims blue states have less-reliable, more expensive electricity. Here’s the reality. Costs are going up in red and blue states alike and are not tied to politics. And plenty of red states (Texas chief among them) have installed far more renewables than many of their blue counterparts.

I will say, that if we didn’t have to subsidize these neo-Ponzi AI companies’ electricity usage, my electricity tariffs would be lower 🙂

  2. It also doesn’t help that Trump is blocking offshore wind farms that some blue states were relying on.

  3. Whenever they post online about this in their charts they rank solar as only having 1% production but they always leave off energy storage that is being utilized from previously generated energy to make it look like renewables aren’t contributing much to cover demand.

I saw a tweet earlier today that tried to say renewables were the reason power was out in a neighborhood in NYC and meanwhile it’s that they distribution infrastructure got damaged so even if it was all coal power generation they still would be without power.

The biggest barrier to adoption of cleaner tech is electric grid literacy which is sorely lacking.
