This is a good thing. I mean, not good that there is this massive corruption at the DoJ, but the law which ordered the Epstein files to be released had specific language surrounding what could be reacted.
It was too much to hope that a handful of reps were going to find a smoking gun in a limited time in a SCIF with 3m documents, but instead what they needed to be looking for (and indeed, seem to have found) are instances of the redactions happening differently than the law stipulates. They can then use that evidence to force oversight for the DoJ to make sure the release is actually compliant.
Today was another step, and it would have been wild if they hit the smoking gun. But in the next few days there will be lawsuits and legal action.

How is this not a bombsell story already? Trump said he kicked Epstein out and Raskin has seen proof that Trump said he DIDN’T kick Epstein out…

Why isn’t every member of congress looking at the unredacted Epstein files? It’s my understanding that only 2 members of congress opted to view the files at the doj today. I cannot understand why they aren’t all chomping at the bit to see them?
I don’t think people realize how far gone America is. They’re all in on it. Why was Christopher Wray sitting on this? Why haven’t I seen that asked anywhere? What about Rod Rosenstein or Merrick Garland, or James comey, or Andrew McCabe??? I feel like this is a twilight episode where I’m the only one who can see what is so obviously happening.

Here in MD we’re proud to count Raskin as our Rep. He has the perfect chops for this gig. He’s also a bulldog. He reminds me of Sam Ervin and Dan Inouye from the Watergate era. We’re cheering him on, all the way.
Everybody in DC seems to have seen these things or knows. Former Presidents and cabinet members know. But the general public dont know, and wont know, because the people who know aren’t going to tell us what they know but instead their going to tell us its awful, horrible and beyond imagination. Huh…. So…..

There’s a lot of bribe money floating to the pricks in government to redact names. Guaranteed.

Schumer better write TWO letters about this! One for the ‘troubling’ matters, and one for the ‘unnecessary’. /s
