Yeah but they’re not coming for ‘us’ they’re coming for ‘them’ they wouldn’t dare come after ‘us’

  3. LOLOL. Oh you sweet summer child. Every American who can think their way out of a paper bag always knew that if ya looked on the other side of the flag their full statement was actually, “Don’t Tread On Me….Tread On Them!”

  4. They turned out to be “don’t thread on *me* … but do stomp on *them*” Americans.

As you always knew they would. Let’s not pretend that this hasn’t been obvious for decades. They operate on the notion that morality is entirely defined by identity (the reactionary idea of society as a natural social and moral hierarchy). It doesn’t matter what is being done. What matters is who is doing it to whom and what determines moral judgment is an emotion process that triggers based on whether they identify with or feel different from the people involved.

So when they say you shouldn’t thread on people, they only think of themselves and those they identify with as people. When they talk about this or that right that American citizens have, then they only think of themselves as American citizens. When they say the elections are stolen, then that’s because they only see themselves as legitimate political actors, so any vote against them is fake by definition. When they say they only want the criminal illegals gone, then anyone they don’t like automatically becomes an illegal criminal immigrant, regardless of legal or civic status. And so on.

The lack of consistency and coherence in their ideology are features, not bugs. It allows them to twist and turn their narratives (and beliefs) so that whatever they say or do is always justified. Because *they* can not be wrong, and reality and morality has to be twisted around that.

Been wondering also, where has Qanon slithered off too now that they have their child sex cabal… but on their side 🤣

  6. The real ‘Don’t tread on me’ Americans don’t wave a flag or put stickers on their vanity pick-up truck. The real ones go to protests, observe and report government overreach, berate their representatives at town halls, and then drop their kids off at soccer practice.

driving big ugly trucks with Trump stickers and whining about how others are the cause of their problems. they need to stop pitying themselves and realize that they are the cause of their problems not the victims.

I thought those guys were pretty much confederate holdouts, were they really ever signed on with America?

Don’t tread on me always meant “go tread on them”. It might as well have been a flag that said “this household watches Fox News”.

There are plenty of gun owning liberals around that are ticked off enough to fight, but thankfully most are not so rash and uneducated as to give this current administration an excuse to invoke the Insurrection Act before November.

Just because people on the left don’t make it their whole persona doesn’t mean they don’t exist.

Meanwhile, many of our Democrat Politicians are currently pushing some of the most invasive gun control yet, that will disproportionally effect the responsible left.
