Seeing Texas turn blue will be a once in lifetime spectacle…

Yet another election cycle of talking heads saying “Will Texas turn blue?”

This just proves the old saying again: texas isn’t a red state, it’s a non-voting state. when you actually get boots on the ground and bypass the suppression tactics, the numbers are there. massive props to the organizers who made this happen against all odds

slowly, then all at once. people have been mocking the ‘blue texas’ idea for years, but this is how it starts. local elections matter just as much as the big ones. the cracks in the dam are showing

If someone told me a Trump +17 district would flip to Dem in a special election I’d have asked which planet we’re on. This isn’t just a “blip”, it’s the political equivalent of your Wi-Fi working on the first try.

This is the political version of scoring concert tickets for $20, everyone thought it was sold out, then boom, grassroots magic. Makes “impossible district” sounds like a myth.

I have been telling people texas is more purple than people think. People have been moving out of Texas have been bitching about the authoritarian red the state has become. Give them reasonable options that speak to the people and you can make it a purple or even blue state like NM.
