  1. And people who voted for AOC, also voted for Trump.  I think this logically makes it harder for him to cry fraud and throw insults (but he will try away).

For the love of god, we need Dems who fight. We need “I welcome their hatred” Dems. AOC is pretty much the only young national Dem who can fit that profile.

  3. What could go wrong nominating a qualified woman who has been vilified by the right that was also recently the most popular politician in America? Bonus points if the public views them as more extreme than their opponent.

Can we not do this again?

  4. I love AOC, but I don’t think it’s her time yet to be president. Would love her for house speaker or VP. Her time will come though.

  5. Everyone loves to say how a woman is not able to be president, but the women who have run for president have been shit. This is not to say that the man who have been running for president weren’t shit as well, but yes, a shit dude is going to win over a shit woman. If we got a woman of substance on offer, I am a firm believer that she has a real shot. I would vote for her in a heartbeat. As a matter of fact, I would vote FOR her, rather than against the murderous pedophile grifters, unlike the choices I have been forced into, forever. I’d really think there is no way that the Democratic leadership would let her have a true shot, because they fight harder against progressives than they do against the Grifting Orwellian Pedophiles.

  6. As long as she wins the primary and the DNC isn’t putting their thumb on the race for or against her the party will be fine. The messiness of the early primary forces candidates to become good candidates (and not every candidate can do that). If AOC wins a fair primary, she’ll win the general.

As much as I love her, we have had two elections in a decade where women were the dem nominees and lost, in part, because a lot of women just do not vote for women. She would be a great contender for VP but holy shit can we not do this a third time? Someone like Mark Kelly or Gavin Newsom would be a wildly stronger candidate.

Anyone who doesn’t want to fight the super rich politically is a fucking bootlicker or dipshit (or both)

  9. Does not change the fact that half the country are assholes and wont vote for a woman…

They tried twice… and twice they were willing to elect a piece of shit instead…

I really wish it was not so but here we are…

I think she wouldn’t stand a chance running as a Democrat. The DNC will sandbag her just like they did Bernie. Could she possibly be a viable third party candidate supported almost solely by voter contributions and not corporations?

No ,nope ..this country is NOT ready for a female president and never will be.Let a MAN run .This is how we ended up with trump …twice

  12. Seek a fight? Bullshit framing. The fight started several rounds ago, and the Democfrats have just been standing there taking nut kicks and stab wounds and acting surprised that their gentlemen’s 19th century handlebar mustache boxing is being met with MMA and streetfighting tactics from the Gestapo Old Pedophiles.

    FIGHT BACK!

She’s very well spoken, from what I’ve seen of her. I see why the right is afraid of her.

I’m begging Dems to realize that Harris and Clinton actually weren’t perfect picks and that they lost for reasons other than that they were women. If your conclusion from 2024 was that the Dems need to be MORE sexist or MORE racist then you’ve lost the plot, please get a grip.

    She’s definitely my favourite candidate.

Legitimately the first politician who genuinely deserves to become the first woman president.

  16. I’d still rather see her as speaker I think she would be able to do more long term change there.

It’s not a great sign if we’re looking to the youngest person because there’s literally nobody else

  18. If she’s on the ticket, she has my vote. However, I sadly still think Dems should run a white man (namely Mark Kelly) to ensure a win. That said, whoever becomes pres better bring the God damned hammer.

I just want scientists, public defenders, teachers, professors, and people under 70 running for office. Is that so much to realistically ask for from society.

  20. Idk why Reddit is obsessed with someone who has no chance at winning the presidential election. Get out of your bubble. Moderates are not showing up to vote for a woman president in swing states, especially not a super progressive woman. Get a fucking reality check so we don’t end up in the same fucking situation we’re in now.

  21. Fight with the superrich… wish there was a better word for that… Personally I’m here for the beret-and-eyepatch wearing automatic-toting A-oh-Cee timeline if it comes to that. I think many in the nyah nyah sisterhood would gladly strap on the standard issue leather skirt and fake ears and follow her into battle. It’s a rare honor given to cis women but she’s distinguished herself.

  22. If you agree with her then PRIMARY YOUR DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATES NOW – she needs a progressive legislative branch

  23. the-player-of-games on

I suppose this will be an unpopular opinion, but she can do much more to move the Dems away from sucking at the corporate teat, as house speaker, than as president

  24. bigChungi69420 on

If it was a fair and free election she would obliterate her opponent. She would have Bernie levels of support. But that’s a big IF

  25. Adrianswiftcloud on

Bros, she made an utter fool of herself in Munich with her disasterclass. She displayed close to no knowledge of foreign policy and was doing Kamala level word salads. Asking her to stand for elections purely cause of vibes is how you lose an election

Anyway all this is not. She won’t even survive the democratic primaries after her ramblings in the debate stage is broadcast to the country
