Wait a minute I thought DOGE put a stop to government waste spending? Which reminds me, I have to go check my mail in case my DOGE check arrives.

Tax the rich – we socialize their risk via mega bailouts yet their profits are 100% their own?
They need to be tarred and feathered and shunned as anti patriotic leeches who only extract value with no return to their communities.

And yet, politicians continue to ignore the elephant in the room. It’s all about short-term gains and re-election rather than long-term solutions.

Trump has bankrupted every business he has ever owned, Republicans gave him the US to run as his personal business so guess what’s next?

At what point does it stop mattering? Once we hit 1 Quadrillion? It’s not like our debt is going to go down. Is there a theoretical number somewhere that everything just comes crashing down?

Debt only matters if it’s a Democratic President. Media and Republicans like to complain about the debt when it’s a Democratic President.

Republican complicity with and advancement of policies by a man-child that filed bankruptcy six times. I predicted in 2001 that America was headed in the direction of South American countries. Here we are economically, politically and socially. I get no satisfaction in being right.
Earlier today I heard Democratic strategists decrying the lack of voter excitement in several past presidential nominees, namely for Biden then Harris. They’re diagnosing a symptom and not the disease, which is demonization of Democrats and “others” since the time of Reagan and Lee Atwater, with the latter expressing remorse as he was dying. Rush, am radio, Newt, Fox Entertainment, and Republicans in general have put our country on the brink. The narcissist in the White House is but one of many harmful results.

Hmmm.
But this is par for the course over the last 40+ years. Republicans blow up the debt with taxbreaks and military spending and democrats spend their terms fixing the problems and trying to be non-partisan.
When are the American people as a whole going to get something out of this? All this debt and profits at corporations have NEVER been higher yet… The American people are on the hook for the bill.
Cheap (free) education, universal healthcare, proper infrastructure that keeps up with the times, good energy policy, and focus on research and development in all fields of science.
We’ve wasted so much time with sensitive republicans who are scared of every shadow of socialism, DEI or wokeness without ANY actual evidence of it. Which is even more frustrating because Democrats get on their back foot trying to defend everything that the GOP hates and they make no actual progress.
1 step forward, 2 steps back.
