  1. I have tried to explain that the expected lifespan is related to pollution during production. Experience will improve this. However, no further pollution can be expected as each battert are sealed. Therefore, a battery that has survived 3,000 charges is statistically very likely to last for another 3,000 charges; in fact, it is highly probable that it will survive a further 6,000 charges.

    There are also differences in charging capacity and charging speed that become apparent after a couple of hundred charges. This is quality management, a discipline that is not taught in the USA.
