  1. And those raised prices which were passed onto the consumers will not be reduced at any point.

  2. If they were illegal the whole time, does that mean companies get refunds? Or is it just “whoops, our bad” and everyone eats the cost

  3. What if the future and current tariff revenue is not going to government, and used to enrich this admin’s personal wealth?

  4. For over a year every one of us was paying more based on an illegal act by the president. What is the term used to refer to those who have committed an illegal act? Criminal. Crazy part is all of this has become so normalized that outside of mostly Reddit, I’m not seeing really any outrage about this. I saw far more outrage for things that weren’t even true at all under Bidens administration, just nonsense totally made up by right wing propaganda, way more outrage, then the Supreme Court which is heavily conservative tells the American people we’ve been scammed by trump and it costed us a bunch of money, and it’s just fucking crickets. And I’m not even in a red state. The normalization after all the flooding the zone is just insane.

In another Reuters article on the EU deal, Trump is about to experience the real impact of this decision.

The EU has said they won’t accept changes to the deal they struck (why would they?).

So Trump’s big weapon he has been beating everyone, including the EU, over the head with is gone. He can’t suddenly say “Europe has been very rude so I’m increasing tariffs to 80%”.

Conversely, the EU has harsh retaliatory tariffs pre-approved (legally, like boring old democracies do).

  6. Companies will file for refunds from the government, prices will continue high and there’ll be no relief to consumers.

We saw what happened during COVID, the same will continue. Cherry on top is these companies continue to get tax cuts.

  7. Wonder how many destroyed programs from Hitler II, for the elderly, poor and children could be funded by, ‘were generating more than $500 million per day in gross revenue’?

This whole tariffs thing reads like a new chapter to “The Emperor’s New Clothes”, where the emperor gets exposed as being naked, only to angrily return to the crowd the next day, still exposing his little mushroom, but insisting that this new costume is even fancier than the last! This time though, the crowd ain’t sniggering.
