  1. These sorts of things never backfire.

Remember when Democrats were thrilled that Trump won the nomination in 2016?

  2. This is a classic political trap. They want her to give up her safe House seat and burn millions of Democratic donor dollars in a statewide Texas race that is statistically brutal to win

  3. I hate this for her. It was pretty obvious she was buying her own hype, and now it seems they used it to draw her in. She’s great at polemics, but how is she at governance?

I do suspect she’d not win but I also don’t think Talarico would win and I also don’t put much stock in the Dems even if they won. They’ll always find 1-9 votes to side with the GOP on anything that *really* matters to the child-raping, narco-trafficking rulers of this country.

  5. They do the same thing with Kamala and her k-hive bots, promoting weak candidates they can easily beat.

“The mammoth effort even included an “AstroTurf recruitment process,” which blitzed progressive digital spaces with the polls.”

I’ve spent the better part of ten years telling progressives they’re being manipulated online only to be told “scratch a moderate and a Nazi bleeds” or some shit.

  7. Democrats have a long history of wasting huge amounts of time, effort and money in Texas.

Might it eventually pay off one time? Sure. But it’s also 100% true that that money and effort could have gone elsewhere to lead to actual wins.
