I did not vote for Jeffries. He should leave my representatives the fuck alone.

Luckily my senator didn’t waste his time

Colbert must have forgotten how “silent defiance” ended slavery and secured the right to vote for women. /s

Trump was allowed the space to spew his hate, steal the valor of others, and shame and blame Americans. It was the best possible use of doing jack squat.

  4. I hope wherever Colbert goes after The Late Show he gets to be full shackles off.

    We need his voice.

Like Schumer he was a good fundraiser and that’s it, the party rewarded them for efficiently sucking billionaire toes. Now that most of those billionaires are just openly pushing for a fascist state, they have shown their priority is keeping them happy.

  6. Jeffries becomes more of a pathetic embarassment by the day. We need firebrands to take the reins. Young progressives (and Bernie) are the only ones who really seem to want to fight back and understand the dangers and the mood in the country rn.

Jeffries and Schumer are useless in this precarious time in history.

  7. Why didn’t the dems just boycott the speech? I would have loved to see half of the chamber empty. Fck Rump

  8. No matter what happens in the midterms, Democrats need to understand that Schumer and Jeffries are not the right people for leaders in 2026.

NOBODY FUCKING CARES IF THEY ARE GOOD AT BACKROOM DEALING. They set the entire party back with how fucking terrible they are at almost everything else. I know that Reddit hated Nancy Pelosi for a lot of years, but she at least was good at both things. Probably the best ever at backroom dealing and at least decent in front of cameras.

These two are like the leaders you want in 1880 when nobody heard jack shit from them.

  9. I have no problem with Jeffries doing this. I have said this in other subs.
The state of the Union is for the people. I hate when whatever party is not in office causes a scene or does something stupid to get kicked out.
Both parties do this. I also can’t stand the standing ovations for the president. Just speak and tell the US citizens what is going on.
Then afterward you can listen to both parties either praise or criticize.

  10. Exactly!!! This is why the current Democratic Party is a joke. No wonder Trump keeps dunking on them and the Democrats respond with stern letters and tweets.

  11. Jeffries and Schumer’s “handling” of our political situation is nothing more than complicit submission. These people need ousted immediately.

  12. There was never any good reason for any member of Congress to physically attend any State of the Union address. It’s nothing but theater, and bad theater at that. Staff can read the written report required by the Constitution and give lawmakers an executive summary. There should not be anything in the report that comes as a surprise to anyone.

  13. Jeffries and Schumer are fine cashing donor checks to sit on their hands and watch America crumble. Only offering meager sound bites if they’re attacked personally.

They need to go. They won’t. But I’m about ready to throw in the towel on seeing a functioning democracy ever again.

  14. If they aren’t legally required to be there, not a single Dem should show up to a Trump SOTU. Showing up is giving his reign legitimacy.

  15. It’s fun to go on his Instagram page every day and call him a coward. Would love some help if anyone feels like it.

  16. All politicians are liars, thieves, and whores interested only in accumulating and maintaining power.

  17. Jeffries and Schumer need to be replaced. Both were still inviting Epstein to fundraisers after his horrific acts were known.

  18. I just don’t get it. If they would just sit there and LAUGH at all the dumb, over-the-top lies he was yelling, it would have done so much more to him than just _sitting there looking stern_.

They all should have disrupted the whole thing en masse and then all walked out en masse.

    Stop. Playing. Nice.

The DNC leadership likes having Jeffries in that position because he’s weak and supports Israel. Like Schumer, the DNC leadership thinks their job is to keep the left pro-Israel, a job they are failing at, and they would rather fail and give in to Trump. Did you notice last night the ONLY time the Democrats stood and applauded was to applaud Israel? We are so so so so weak.

Jeffries and Schumer prefer democrats to be in the minority. That way they still get all the donor money and don’t have to actually lead or try to fight back against republicans.
