  1. No, no, he’s right about DOGE. It was never meant to target fraud, just stuff Elon didn’t like.

  2. Salt-Initiative-8159 on

He doesn’t acknowledge DOGE because it was a huge failure.

Even those twat muffins who worked for Musk said that the government was surprisingly effiencent.

  3. DOGE wasn’t about going after waste and abuse, it was collecting vital information on Americans while killing the social safety net and departments going after Musk for his abuse.

  4. He’s just being accidentally honest. They were there to steal information and kill active investigations into their illegal business practices.

  5. He means successfully.

    > no one has ever *successfully* targeted fraud in the government before.

And by ‘before,’ he means ‘this month.’

  6. Ineverseenthat on

That’s true, what DOGE did was not targeting fraud, what DOGE did for trump was to destroy any government agency with oversight responsibility.

  7. Well, in JD’s limited defense, Doge was not made to target fraud at all. It was to clear out anyone that was or had ever targeted Elon or his companies for any kind of fraud investigation. Any regulatory body or audit system that could go after him or had gone after him or was in yhe process of looking at him was axed, then he directed billions of federal funding contracts towards spaceX and tesla, then declared doge concluded.

So yeah, doge never found fraud cause it was never looking for it in the first place

  8. Well, no, he just said the quiet part out loud. DOGE was never about targeting fraud, it was about covering their tracks with regard to election interference and to gut the agencies that were standing in the way of Musk and co. All the agencies that were investigating Musk or one of his companies were absolutely shredded. It was never about fraud.
