Sen. Dave McCormick (R-Pa.) on Sunday said the United States won’t be able to “fix” Iran following the death of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
“We’re not going to be able to fix Iran. The Iranian people are going to have to step up,” McCormick said during an appearance on Fox News’s “Fox News Sunday.”
“It might be some version of people within the current regime and are able to step up and paint a new day for Iran. It might be an entirely new regime. We don’t know that. We don’t know the future yet, but we need to put them in the best position to find out for themselves,” he added.
Dude is totally serious that the fix will come from within after we just bombed their country

Who can ‘fix’ the US?

Wait, what?
Trump isn’t bombing Iran to fix anything. He’s doing it because 1) Bibi and team spent millions on him and 2) Kushner told him to. That’s it.

It’s been over year since Trump was supposed to end the Russia/Ukraine war. Somehow, people are expecting him to pull off a regime change and nation building in Iran? Yeah, ok.
Btw, Mexico never paid for that wall.

If we take everyone in the administration and drop them off in Tehran it’d be a start.

Then why the HELL are you bombing there and starting a war?
Because Netanyahu wanted to? Because the Orange Fascist wanted a distraction from his PEDO files?

The republican’s plan depended on Iranian nationals to revolt and establish a new government, even though our intelligence community assessed that IRGC would re-constitute their existing hardline regime. Killing Khamenei was a step backwards for every country except Israel, which depends on a hardline Iranian regime they can continue to call the enemy.

So, the plan here is to bomb Iran until a popular uprising displaces current leadership. And if those people aren’t good little Israel- and America-friendly capitalists, bomb them again?

Regime change doesn’t work like that. If this incompetent administration at least would have had a plan for this… They cut off the head of the snake.
Now what? Now they all think the problem gonna solve itself? It won’t. The people won’t govern themselves and will lead the state. Those will lead who has the most political connections, money, and power in the elite.

The Middle East isn’t set up or ready for any sort of democratic system. Ask anyone from the Middle East how democracy could work and you’d have 1000 different ideas. The main reason is how religion is so engrained in their society and then you have the surrounding countries that would move in. We loathe the dictators but you absolutely cannot fix them with western ideals.

Why would we want to fix Iran, and maybe Iran is run the way its people want. The arrogance and hubris of the US has flown off the chart.

Everyone’s already forgotten that removing the current leadership is the easy part of regime change. The Taliban, Saddam, Gaddafi etc. were all quickly removed from power at the start of the wars. We’ve all seen what happens next.

The US can’t fix its own problems most of the time. Even MAGA doesn’t want expensive forever wars that make Americans less safe at home and abroad.

Bombing never was going to fix Iran. You can’t just kill the guy in charge with no follow through and expect regime change to occur like magic. It’s child-like magical thinking. If I just kill the bad guy then everything will be fixed. Delusional

Earlier today, Trump offered immunity to IRGC members.
This raises two questions:
1) Under what authority does he offer immunity? Immunity from who – whatever new government emerges?
2) If you’re a member of the opposition, why in the world would you stick your neck out, if the US is effectively urging the IRGC to retain power and control? You would have to be insane to risk that.
