    Trump:

    Gold Star Families… ***I Sleep.*** 👎

    Gold Curtains… ***Real Shit*** 👍

  2. He probably was when he was a 3rd rate businessman and 2nd rate reality TV celebrity. Then Americans gave him power. Power attracts other powers and those with dirt on him get to use him to exercise that power for their own goals.

No idea how he convinced people he was anti war. He dramatically increased drone strikes and increased the US bombing into more countries.

I genuinely think it’s probably time for a different angle. Trump lies. About like, everything. There seems to be this assumption that if one can just show MAGA the lies — they’ll see the light, and change their ways. Their problem is just that they don’t know Trump is lying. I think I’m calling bullshit on that one.

People aren’t stupid — like on balance. If you look at Trump’s approval hovering around ~40% — we all interact with a lot of people all the time — if 40% of them were so dumb they couldn’t see the lies – I think you would notice. Everyone knows he lies — it’s priced in — and it’s clear it’s not having individualized consequences.

Maybe it’s a numbers game, and it’s all adding up, and if we just keep reminding people over and over that he’s a liar, the next lie will be the one that moves them. But I doubt it.

“But you said you wouldn’t!” is like schoolyard whining from our “leaders”. Try literally anything else.

  5. The only one stupid enough to believe it is conservatives.

As usual, as always. From slavers to nazis to maga. It’s all the same stupidity, same sociopaths, same shit.

On the plus side, there’s solace in remembering that every single Christian American needs to hope Jesus is *breathtakingly* stupid if they have any hope of talking their way into heaven.

Cause “I didn’t know!” isn’t gonna cut it.

Been saying that from day one. This is the guy who was calling for the deaths of the Central Park five. Anyone who thinks Trump was antiwar is delusional.

  7. He’s very anti *personally participating* in a war. But sending other people? Doesn’t give a shit.

  8. People that support Trump are all at the very least delusional.

    There fixed it for you.

  9. He only cares about himself, he’s not anti-anything in a core value or moral sense.

  10. Dense_Knowledge74 on

Anyone who actually paid attention during his first term already knows this. he massively increased drone strikes and then just conveniently removed the reporting requirements so the numbers wouldn’t look bad. the “anti-war” label was always just a grift tbh.

Tearing up the iran nuclear deal for literally no reason other than the fact that obama signed it was the exact opposite of being anti-war. it practically guaranteed a path to future conflicts, which is exactly the mess we are seeing play out right now in real time.

And the idea that the average MAGA voter was anti-war is also delusional.

Otherwise; where is the actual pushback? Clearly they are on board with this BS.

What the fuck, NYT? Why couldn’t you do your fucking job as journalists back when he was running?

  14. He’s not anti or pro anything. He doesn’t have a principled bone in his body. He blows with the wind.
