If true that is absolutely terrifying. The idea that military decisions could be influenced by apocalyptic religious beliefs rather than strategy is beyond disturbing. War is already hell without people trying to speedrun the end of the world. Hope this report gets the attention it deserves.

I’m going to be honest, “commanders” could mean a menial Army captain or a four-star admiral. It’s shitty either way but orders of magnitude more shitty based on who’s saying it.

I think. Or remember, the whole thing from my days in the church.

An ocean of blood occurs in the Middle-east, before whatever else happens. Only one way to get an ocean of blood.

This reminds me of Full Metal Alchemist, except King Bradley wasn’t a pedophile.

These people wouldn’t recognize Jesus if he drove them from the temple with a whip made of cords

  6. If that is the case, the commanders are welcome to go to Iran and kill themselves in the bloodiest way they can think of, as far as I am concerned. Just keep the cost under 100 bucks. Jesus would have wanted fiscal responsibility.

A God that can be tricked, strong-armed, or manipulated into doing something is not a God worth worshiping.

Anyone else remember when Interior Secretary James Watt said we can clear cut as much as we want, resources don’t matter, because we’re at the End of Days? And everyone just yawned, nothing to see, so here we are.

Separation of church and state…unless it means bringing about the end times then by all means

Remember when Reddit was cheering for these guys to “remember their oaths” as if they were some impartial, honorable bunch who were gonna take a moral stand against Trump. lol

Isn’t this basically the Christian equivalent of Jihad? These people are unbelievable.

  12. BrexitReally on

Just to check, these bloodthirsty animals consider themselves aligned to Christian morality?

As someone who grew up as an evangelical Christian, evangelical Christianity is a death cult.

Has everyone lost their everloving minds?? Are they insane? Because this is fucking ridiculous.

  15. I am going to need evangelicals to point exactly where in the bible Jesus said that you should be killing as many people as possible to bring about the end times.

  16. “For you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.” – Thessalonians 5:2

“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” – Matthew 24:36

You can’t just “bring about” the End Times.

  17. Ffs, America. You’ve asked the question, why did the German population not stop Hitler? Well you are walking the same path, you are not doing enough.

  18. Last-Permission-8665 on

Isn’t this basically the same belief & approach as ISIS, Al Qaeda, many other Islamic terror groups?

  19. Sardaukar. Someone read “Dune” and thought: “Yes, I want this for my country”.

Republicans have gone so far over the edge that they’ve inadvertently become Al Queda.

The fucking weight of that irony is enough to collapse inward and create a black hole.

  21. You know I think it’s maybe not a good idea to put the fate of our country in the hands of people who can’t wait for the end of the world. Call me crazy.

  22. disheartenedlefty on

Every single soldier believing this bullshit needs to be dishonorably discharged, ASAP.

This is when you let religion to spread it’s unhinged beliefs unchecked.

Are you religious? Cool. Keep it to yourself.

  23. soshaldulemma on

Holy Fuck! So, the “big” thing this shitstain administration has been teasing is a nuclear holocaust? Can somebody call Stephen King to conjure a Dead Zone spell in this simulation? With or without Walken, althought would be sweetest with him.

  24. Hence why they bombed schools.

Wasn’t an accident, was target murder to cause as much emotional and psychological trauma as possible to bring out the most violent reactions, justifying the wholesale slaughter of as many people as possible

Once they started with the war crimes, they figured in for a penny, in for a pound

  25. DramaticWesley on

It’s called a cult. Religious dogma that puts your life at risk is called a cult.

  26. This is also why a lot of officers were fired. There is basically no one left in the command structure with a spine or conscience.
