    While [Trump’s approach to Greenland](https://apnews.com/article/fact-focus-greenland-us-trump-hospital-ship-5db7f911c79d1320c6c6e29d895e1403) has shifted, the world has been unable to slow the effects of climate change. The Arctic is warming faster than any other region in the world, driven by the [burning of oil, gas and coal](https://apnews.com/article/arctic-trump-black-carbon-climate-change-5b31ca78b23b11d56e9b715c9d4c6c09).

    What that means for the fishing industry that largely drives Greenland’s economy is unknown. Fishing accounts for up to 95% of exports, many to the territory’s biggest market, China, along with the United States, Japan and Europe.
