Do whatever you can, Democrats in Congress. This administration endangers people in so many ways. Show the world you aren’t complicit with this lunacy.

They could’ve said something the day after the conflict began. It’s only when it affects the economy. They chime in. Especially at this point of no return, there’s inept leadership on both sides. It only helps that one side is a little bit more nefarious.

This is what pisses me off about the Democrats. They constantly talk and talk about maybe doing something. Then when it comes time to actually fight back they fold like a wet towel.

Take the shutdown for instance, they spend all that time supposedly holding out so.our health care doesn’t go up, then they reopen the government with our achieving anything. They only got a bullshit promise of a potential vote, and then of course the Republicans told them to fuck off.

They are all talk. And they are not going to do a god damn thing this time either

  4. > “Each individual senator has a tremendous amount of power to disrupt the normal functioning of the Senate as well as certain privileges that we can exercise, and what we have agreed right now is that we’re not going to let the Senate continue business as usual, which seems to be ignoring the urgent issues the American people are dealing with” …

    — Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.)

Remember that the next time someone says they don’t have any power… they have plenty of power to grind things to a halt if they wanted to.

Why not! Trump said he won’t sign anything anyhow. Cut the money off too, while I you’re at it.

“Bark bark bark” say the little dogs I voted in. But it was fine, they never bit anyone in their life. Except for the occasional incident where they chase their own tail and bite it after barking about “shut down” over and over again, only to give in at the first lie they receive.

  7. Is there a difference between it being shut down and the fuck all it’s been doing since America became a monarchy last year?

  8. Democrats really can only offer to burn every bit of political capital they have to counter the republicans and this regime.

At some point the regime will go the path the Nazis did to enshrine single party rule. But until then they have to try.

They need to use whatever media presence they can muster to draw public attention to the corruption and criminality of this regime and its party apparatus.

If the government is behaving criminally and actively harming the people then there is a moral imperative to shut it down.

If the engine on your car is on fire the first thing you do is pull over and turn it off.

They caved on healthcare. They will cave again. Probably after receiving some minor concession on foreign aid

“Stop or I’ll say stop again.” I’ll believe it when I see it. Dems have continued to be like herding cats. We need to take a page from the GOP and stick together, unrelenting, no matter what.

  12. Oh geez, Jefferies. Oh wow. And you’ll open it up again when Republicans promise to hold a meaningless vote like they did last time. Ohhh geeez.

  13. Dem has been talk, talk and more empty talks. There has been no oppositional action for a decade. Chuck shoemaker is working hard his entire life for Israel instead american… Hope against hope with leaders from dem, 😒

  14. Democrats need to learn how to stonewall and run out the clock like the republicans.

Honest question: what does shutting down the Senate do to stop a president that has pretty much done everything via EO

No I’m not being a troll. If you wanna give people hope, now is the time.

Anything they are doing is pre-approved theatrics that won’t change anything. There’s little chance that Schumer has anything in him to go against his owners.

It’s not like Trump is doing anything anyway. He said he himself would stop governing until his anti-vote bill passes.
