As a gay guy, I’ve always laughed at this talking point as if the majority of republicans don’t believe, at a minimum, that I don’t deserve the same rights as everyone else. A good portion of them think I should be jailed or killed for being gay. So I’m not really seeing how they’re any better than the Muslims, and that’s setting aside the fact that every single instance of me being mistreated due to my sexuality has come from white, conservative Christians.

I love when conservatives try to point out horrible stuff that occurs in other countries to drum up support when theyâd love to see those things happen here. Conservatives, especially religious fundamentalist based conservatives across the globe typically have very similar beliefs when you drill down to their core. Much of what they argue about is the window dressing and who gets the money and power.
