It ended a few weeks after agent orange started his 2nd term

This is the empire lashing out in it’s death throes

Never before has a great power so willingly dismantled its own credibility, trust and reputation, alienated all its allies and basically chosen the most irrational policy every single time. There was no good reason, despite all its problems, for the USA to totally abrogate leadership of the democratic world but that’s where we’re headed right now.

I’m fine with this if that means Nuremberg 2 electric bugaloo and we end up living comfortably rather than this fuck ass mess

  4. Cool_Specialist_5912 on

No Trump may be the reason. If you treat your allies like shit don’t expect them to join your stupid war.

  5. Let’s face the truth here. Trump is not just dismantling the U.S. World Order, he is dismantling the U.S. itself, internally. America First is not anything but America Disintegrated, getting dumber by the day and at war with itself internally. I would say that Trump has been extremely successful in continuing his long stream of bankruptcies which was there for everyone to see all along, as only the willfully blind did not see this coming.

  6. I’ve thought this was an intentional hand off. The people caught on to the Epstein class, and *freedom of speech* is what brought that about. Trump knew how unpopular he was, and he knew had been intentionally dividing the populace. He’s been reported as expressing joy at breaking the Separation of Church and State. Trump’s FCC going after media companies unless they toe the administration’s line is another marker. By so doing, Trump has made a huge attack against the First Amendment. Next, he starts a war with Iran which has destabilized global energy markets. This all seems quite on purpose and implemented with authoritarian intent.

  7. It ended when Trump won his second term. We had a chance to show the world we learned a lesson about demagogues and fascism, but we did the opposite.

Just like how the British and the French lost their place as the dominant world powers during the Suez Canal crisis, the US will lose it in Iran.

  9. Fun fact, the fall of Rome took like 700 years so we’re ahead of the curve there

I’m increasingly of the opinion that the US is a failed state. The out in the open corruption is beyond belief. Other western countries will never trust us again, and currently their default assumption should be that everything coming out of this administration is a lie.

And things are just getting rolling. It will get worse from here. The next 5-10 years are going to be dismal.

  11. We are watching the final act of an empire that is beginning to realize that its place in the world is no longer necessary.

Abdicating power and influence to own the libs. Republicans are the dumbest group of people to walk the earth.

  13. Are we going to ignore what he did and is doing in latin america? How he spoke about taking cuba and “doing whatever he wants” with it is because there were 0 consequences for what he did in Venezuela. If he were stopped in Venezuela, he wouldn’t have done this in Iran. His complete and total lack of consequences for one thing is always why he does the next thing. No one is stopping him so he will always keep getting worse and worse until someone does.

  14. There are an awful lot of us who have been sick to death of the American Empire for a long, long time now, and have been angry about the constant mortgaging of our future to pay for it.

There are certainly better ways to end it than this, though.

The USA used up its mulligan on the first term. The rest of the civilized world now knows that you are hopeless.

Correction: “Trump admin is where and why US-led world order ends”.

In my opinion. Willingly or not. This was the ultimate goal of the tRump regime. Break everything and take what’s not bolted down. because there isn’t a majority of people willing to take action. We get to watch it all happen.

The crazy part is that Iran’s injustice against their own people does actually justify some sort of intervention (on an escalating scale – not immediatly to violence). But it shouldn’t have been initiated by the US, and it shouldn’t have been without the unified resolve of the UN. Instead, we started a holy war on our own, half a world away…. and since no one else has primed their people (though their own propaganda channels) for the conflict, no one wants to join us in this political seppuku at the drop of the hat.

FWIW – this ignorance of the value of soft power is why they shut down USAID. These people are so fucking dumb it’s hard to watch.

Yes, it was bound to happen at some point as a result of the absolute worst president of all time managing to get a second term. As expected, he has lost the trust of all our long-time partners. This ill-conceived war is the point where they’ve clearly chosen their own separate path. Time will tell whether another future US leader will be able to rebuild US status with our former friends. But, it’s not going to happen until Trump is out of the picture. Word of advice: future presidents might want to avoid attempting to use social media posts for negotiating foreign policy matters. It’s just not a good look.

Considering it wasn’t even our countries decision to declare the war, I’d say it ended quite a while ago

  21. I’ve been telling me we are witnessing the transition from a US controlled world to a more China influenced world. Hence I say “influence” because I don’t think China wants to control the world in the same way the US has. A lot are blaming Trump here, he’s just the whitehead on a pimple, not the sole cause but certainly is the one assigned to finish it off. There’s a lot of reasons, too many to mention in a post on Reddit, that caused the US to end up in the situation. I just hope we can stop pointing fingers at each other so we can rebuild into a better country.

  22. It’s been in steep decline since the 80’s, but trump 2016 marked a cliff in that decline. Trump didn’t really change anything, as much as MAGA has indicated that it’s irreversible.

    We’re fucking doomed.
If this last for 2-3 more months. The oil price continue to be high…every country that needs it will pull their money out of US Bonds to pay for more expensive non-budgeted over priced oil. If there is a run on US bonds, we’re gonna go broke fighting this shit, see sky rocketing interest rates just to try to borrow money. Our bonds will get a lower credit rating. This will crush us. Fixed Income treasury bonds will turn into a joke. Countries will start buying oil with anything but US dollars.

It wouldn’t surprise me if the the regime is purposefully trying to burn through resources in order to please their daddy vladdy.

  25. these chucklefucks have no idea how much the post-WW2 rules-based international order benefited the US

they have actively degraded the US economically, diplomatically, and militarily

and made the world poorer, more violent, less stable, and less free overall
