I’ve got a friend who works TSA in Florida. The job has ALWAYS sucked, even on a good day. I can’t even imagine what it’s like to do it now.
If I was a reliable business owner looking for employees, I’d be looking for TSA people. They’re ripe for the picking and would probably be thankful for ANY job that gets them out of there.

What is about to be smuggled in (or out) then? I don’t trust ICE at all. Nor the administration pretending to hold their leash.
I’m probably only thinking about this because it was recently refreshed in my mind. But fascists and plots go hand in hand. Anyway during WW2 there was apparently a plot to smuggle counterfeit pounds into the U.K. the idea was crashing the economy in order to win support for their ideology and offer an alternative. Now I’m not saying it’s that but the level of distrust I have for these people and their quest for power is immense. I’m really just advocating for awareness.
They should be under the FAA not homeland, they shouldn’t be used as political pawns.

I’m more surprised it is roughly 400 out of what, 50,000 TSA agents? It is absolutely unreasonable to be asked to go over a month without pay.
This doesn’t even count the 43-day shutdown from late 2025, which also screwed TSA, as well as ATC people.
But, Pete Hegseth can request another $200bil for his war of choice, right?
