    >House Budget Committee Chair Jodey Arrington has suggested that Congress should revive [cost-sharing reductions](https://www.kff.org/affordable-care-act/explaining-cost-sharing-reductions-and-silver-loading-in-aca-marketplaces/), which could save the federal government as much as $30 billion. Doing so, however, would drastically increase out-of-pocket premium costs, a possibility that the Congressional Budget Office estimated could cause some 300,000 people to lose their health insurance by 2034. Arrington is [selling](https://www.politico.com/live-updates/2026/03/25/congress/jodey-arrington-fraud-cuts-iran-war-funding-00845183) the scheme as a method of “fraud prevention.”

Meanwhile in civilized countries people have public health care as a right.

How the entire country is held hostage by the Orange Man is beyond unfathomable to me.

He is treating America (and every American) like the little girls he raped.

The Epstein class tax cuts provided by the big bullshit bill can cover the war’s cost overruns.

  5. MAGA voters be like, Obviously it’s just going to be the illegals and brown people getting kicked off of healthcare and not me. 🤡

  6. Healthcare vs. bloodshed… Bloodshed will win every time with the Republican Party…

  7. So 200 billion dollars plus taking healthcare away from people? These people don’t care because the debt goes to us (the future generations). They’ll be dead once it comes time to deal with the effects of all this non-necessary funding. It’s a shame how much money is being stolen from us tax payers while they tell us there is no money in housing, food, or healthcare.

I’m obviously saying this as a joke I don’t condone this at all but can we just get a wrecking ball and destroy their homes.

Sorry Reddit but I am fuming

  9. Keep kicking the hornet’s nest. Keep making people desperate. See what it gets you. We had an American Revolution, we can always try the French styled one as well.

  10. Sentence 300,000 Americans to death and you might find yourself with a hell of a lot more Luigis; pretty sure that’s just simple math.

Didn’t they Just kick 300,000 people off of ACA?

So now do they want to kick another 300,000 off of any medical care?

Sure, that makes total sense. Let’s start by kicking the Congress and Senate off of their Cadillac plans FIRST.

    Never give Trump an inch.

Today he says 300k, next week he says 3 million.

It’s not good enough to get American soldiers killed, they’re coming after civilians too.

  14. So by taking folks off healthcare here in the US, they will be killing people both here and abroad.

  15. Poison_the_Phil on

The Republicans have been salivating over how to dismantle the Federal government for decades. That reptile Roger Stone has been working towards this literally since the Nixon administration.

They were always coming for your healthcare, this is just the current justification being used.

    It’s literally their *ideology*.

    [Conservatism](https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/conservatism):

    >a political philosophy based on tradition and social stability, **stressing the importance of established hierarchies and institutions** (such as religion, the family, and **class structure**), and preferring gradual development to abrupt change

    >specifically **:** such a philosophy calling for […] **a strong national defense**, and for **individual financial responsibility for personal needs** (such as retirement income and **health care coverage**)

If people want health care, they should consider promoting and voting for the opposing *ideology*.

    [Progressivism](https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/progressivism):

    >a political philosophy and social reform movement focused on **advancing the public good through government action** and often **calling for government to be used to meet popular social, political, economic, and environmental needs** and demands and to **advance rights and protections for marginalized groups**

As long as it’s only republicans healthcare then I’m ok with it. They were the ones that wanted this, after all.

  18. The first sentence of this should read: “Killing people abroad is so important to Republicans that they’re willing to kill people at home to keep doing it.”

Externally, it looks more and more like the USA are no more the financial super power they pretend to be.

“We are willing to harm US citizens in order to harm the Iranians even more than we already have. Praise Trump and Jesus” -karoline Leavitt (probably)

They probably also won’t have the money to take care of the soldiers when they come home.

  22. If those pesky 300K people signed up for military service, they ***might*** get health benefits.

    Maybe.

  23. Stuffed-Bear412 on

Make sure the maga people in your life know why, when they lose their insurance.

  24. Think-Coffee-6684 on

Trump has never once cared about sacrificing people for his own gain. He does it freely.

  25. Those 300k tax payers must be like: “Oh yeah, my taxes should be paying for war and not for keeping me alive.” Haven’t read this article, but my guess is the idea is floating through media to see ‘they’ could manage the negative publicity.

  26. I used to wish the Punisher was real and targeted crooked politicians, but I fear he would die from exhaustion from this administration.

  27. Hey, how about we revoke free healthcare from the house and Senate and they can pull themselves up by their bootstraps?
