  1. “A Kuwaiti tanker was struck Tuesday in Dubai’s waters, the latest in a number of attacks on energy assets that have spiked oil prices and roiled markets.

The national average price for a gallon of gas was just over $4.01 on Tuesday, according to AAA. The last time that happened was during the inflationary surge in 2022, fueled by pandemic qualms and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. At that time, the price for a gallon [eventually climbed above $5.](https://archive.is/o/sD4Mn/https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/interactive/2022/road-trip-gas-prices/)”

My prediction is at least $8, we’re yet to see the consequences of the war, this is just the start.

So oil prices climbing again this morning. I don’t think we’re even close to the top on this.

The diddler in chief in his own words:

“Starting on day one, we will end inflation and make America affordable again, to bring down the prices of all goods.”

“Under my administration, we will be slashing energy and electricity prices by half within 12 months, at a maximum 18 months”

“We’re going to get your energy prices down. We’re going to get your energy prices down by 50%.”

“Energy is going to bring us back. That means we’re going down and getting gasoline below $2 a gallon, bring down the price of everything from electricity rates to groceries, airfares, and housing costs.”

“I’m not going to start a war. I’m going to stop wars. Our president will start a war with Iran because he has absolutely no ability to negotiate. He’s weak and he’s ineffective.”

  5. My area gas is at 4.19

I don’t recall it getting above 3.99 during the height of covid when all the conservatives were screaming about how Biden is making them unable to afford driving let alone groceries

    They’re suddenly REALLY quiet

lol, I had a convo with a store clerk and she was goin on about gas under Biden… I just looked at her with this look of incredulity, and just quipped with ‘such as it goes with supply and demand’

I don’t recall seeing it this high ever. I know that it varies by price but I’m right by the mountains, typically it’s only higher UP the mountains. But it is closer to $5 per gallon.

The stupid fucks where I live in TN don’t bat an eye to this. I constantly see on Facebook “remind me who was president last time they were this high?” I hear people in my daily life, family, coworkers, etc. still blaming dems for the economy. These people genuinely don’t see the problem at all.

  9. In four years, huh? What was a semi recent change that could have influenced that? Im struggling to think of what it could be..

Reminder: during the Obama Administration, they openly admitted that $4 was the breaking point for most drivers in US. The Strategic Oil Reserve will not bring the price of gas down.

I love dumbass magas doing “whatabout Brandon” here as if Joe Biden actually did anything from a policy perspective to raise gas prices. Demand was coming back post COVID, inflation was going mental post covid, and Russia invaded Ukraine. Those were the contributors for Bidens gas spike.

Trump started a war with Iran for literally no reason. He’s solely responsible for this and all the chaos and global instability that follows.

  12. 6.50 here, US West today. Saw $6 by Boston and Michigan yesterday.

Who the fuck had sub-$4 where?

    I call extreme bullshit.

    10.16$ a gallon for Euro 95(2.33EUR/l) where I live, Diesel is 11.07$ a gallon(2.54€/l). Hooray Netherlands 🇳🇱

  14. I call bs. Gas has never been below 4 dollars in the last many years where I live. Right now it is 4.98 for regular. Before the war it was 4.29.
