    >”Trump’s Top Goon Will Not Escape Epstein Grilling After Axe
    >
    >Former Attorney General Pam Bondi might be out of the Trump administration, but the pressure over her handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files is not going away. After President Donald Trump announced Bondi was out and being replaced by Todd Blanche as acting attorney general, House Democrats said they would not let the axed Trump official off the hook for answering their questions under oath. […]
    >
    >In a statement on Thursday, House Oversight Committee Ranking Member Robert Garcia said in a statement that Bondi “will not escape accountability and remains legally obligated to appear before our Committee under oath. She must answer for her mishandling of the Epstein files and the special treatment she has given Ghislaine Maxwell,” Garcia said. […]
    >
    >“Even though she has been fired, she must still answer to Congress about the remaining documents, why there have been no new prosecutions, and why she participated in a cover-up,” said Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna, who helped lead the charge to release the Epstein files after Bondi refused to do so with the passage of the Epstein Files Transparency Act.
    >
    >In February, Bondi appeared before the House Judiciary Committee for a blockbuster hearing where she was grilled over her handling of the Epstein files and given the chance to apologize to survivors […] Instead, she refused to turn and face the survivors and the families of survivors who were standing just feet away from her in the hearing room.” […]

  2. I’m assuming she just won’t show up, and will face zero consequences, right?

Isn’t that how it works now?

  3. So long as the first question is what the Dow is at the day of the hearing, my happiness/giddiness index for the day has a solid floor value.

She just got a new private job. Wonder if this is defending Trump or something and this is being done to make it so that she can’t say anything

  5. I don’t accept the passive voice of the title. Consequences don’t just happen by themselves. Those of us who demand justice must take action to see it through to the end.

“That matter remains classified, and both executive and attorney/client privilege prohibit me from discussing any communications I had with the president or other members of the administration about that issue.”

  7. Someone picked this headline so it should show up on web searches for Epstein and gooning.

Won’t make a difference Maga now will just hate her and dismiss anything she says that goes against the administration, it’s a nothing burger.

  9. It won’t be from lack of trying. Make no mistake they are trying.

“Since Pam Bondi is no longer Attorney General, Chairman Comer will speak with Republican members and the Department of Justice about the status of the deposition subpoena and confer on next steps,” the spokesperson said.

  10. There is no amount of plastic surgery in the world that will take the dents out from getting run over by that bus.

Object permanence has always been tough for Trump. I suppose he believes that if she’s not a member of his staff than she can’t be questioned for what she did on his staff.

  12. Interesting gamble. So now it will be a matter of Trump willing to or able to pardon her in the future.

I hope her lawyers are going for an immunity agreement. Oh man I can’t even describe how glorious it would be to see her bury that raping fuck.

Even if she shows up, we’ve seen this movie before with her yelling at everyone in the hearing.

hope you made enough to afford all the security you’re going to need the rest of your life.

  16. She knows far too much. I expect she’ll end up “committing suicide”, wink wink, soon.

  17. chacotacotoes on

She is currently shredding documents, and will claim no accountability since she was fired

  18. If anything, she’s got a lot of incentive to throw his ass under the bus now. Before, she might have played hard ball under the theory that she’d get a pardon from him or something, that’s clearly not gonna happen now so any immunity offers they might dangle in front of her are going to be a lot more tempting. Just, what the fuck were the people around him thinking? I know he doesn’t think but still….

Good, hope this is just the beginning of being held to account. I personally hope she spends tons of money and time in depositions and defense side of court.

  20. Yeah. Like she will actually show up. OH – LOOK – A THING FOR ME TO BET ON ON KALSHI. SO KEWL, I LOVE WHAT WE HAVE BECOME.
