    >This runs counter to the Pentagon’s repeated assertions that the operations center was fortified. “Every possible measure has been taken to safeguard our troops—at every level,” Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell [wrote on X](https://x.com/SeanParnellASW/status/2028896840914223189) in March.

    >The Iranian strike on that base killed six U.S. service members, making it the deadliest Iranian strike of the first five weeks of the joint U.S.-Israeli military campaign in Iran. More than 30 military members were [hospitalized](https://newrepublic.com/post/207634/troops-injuries-iran-strike-kuwait), with dozens suffering from injuries, including burns, shrapnel wounds, and brain trauma.

    > Pete Hegseth Is Lying

Isn’t that a given with our failed alcoholic Fox news personality? ‘Let’s put him in charge’… FU congress!

Watch, now he’s going to come after anyone brave enough to speak out.

Right after he lifted the suspension of the pilots who flew black hawk helicopters to Kid Rock’s house.

  4. That is consistent with other reporting. Like this one where military and their families in the Bahrain (NSA) base basically were hurriedly evacuated after being attacked by Iran. (clip from article is below). The conclusion is that either (a) Trump and the top brass did not care about these people (they cared more about surprise) or (b) Trump and the top brass underestimated Iran’s capabilities.

    [https://www.npr.org/2026/04/03/nx-s1-5770491/evacuation-bahrain-norfolk-troops](https://www.npr.org/2026/04/03/nx-s1-5770491/evacuation-bahrain-norfolk-troops)

    — a Navy spokesman acknowledged that 1,500 sailors, their families and several hundred pets were relocated back to the U.S. from NSA Bahrain.

Sailors have been arriving in Norfolk, Va., home to the world’s biggest naval base, since at least the middle of March. Several groups that provide aid to military personnel say that the sailors arrived with very little. A call went out to community groups, asking for basic supplies like hygiene products.

“The base was asking for donations of toiletries and different things for the sailors coming back, because they were coming back with nothing,” said Derrick Johnson, commander of American Legion Post 327 in Norfolk.

I can’t wait to Whiskey Pete’s hair once he’s in prison and he can’t put a gallon of product in it. Gonna have to use his new master’s splooge.

  6. Of course he lied.

    Captain Showbiz is Trump’s mini-me.

Has no idea how anything works. Cares only about how things look. Lies frequently to project the lies he wishes were true.

A vain, shallow, dumb, undisciplined, dishonest man who has no business being in a position of power.

Congress appointed this unfit person. Red or Blue, let them hear your voice.

  8. >Ahead of Operation Epic Fury, U.S. troops in the Gulf region were instructed to move away from the “X,” or danger zone. But a group of soldiers were sent from Kuwait City to Port of Shuaiba, still well within striking distance for Iran. There, they would establish a makeshift portside tactical operations center in a series of small tin buildings.

    >“We moved closer to Iran, to a deeply unsafe area that was a known target,” another soldier told CBS News. “I don’t think there was a good reason ever articulated.”

I’m glad that someone is brave enough to speak about this. I wonder how long it will be before Hegseth and his henchmen figure out who this guy is and punish him for this interview.

    The entire administration are liars

    How many under oath?

    Throw them in prison 😡

Honestly it sounds like they got all giddy about the apparent success in Venezuela where they had internal support for their coup and thought they could just attack Iran without any consequences at all.

The fact is though I expect that from the administration but how the fuck does CENTCOM not have all bases in the region be on standby, and how the fuck are their civilians on and near a forward base in an impending war zone. Service personnel families should have been sent to the US in February if shit was going to cook off in March.

The very nature of these somewhat impromptu bases reeks of simply being set up in a corner of an existing airfield. To actually harden them takes planning, time, $$$ and a long term commitment to positioning troops in the host country. I don’t see that happening with this administration.

  12. So we will be getting Bengazi style hearings where Pete will need to explain why this happened for 12 hours?

    > When Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth described a deadly Iranian strike in Kuwait as a rare “squirter” that had broken through the defenses of a U.S. military base, it didn’t quite sound right—especially to the service members who actually lived through it.

Uh, no shit. I don’t think that description sounds right to anybody. The fuck, Pete?

  14. if only Hegseth were there he would’ve handily-defeated those drones in a pushup contest

From an outside perspective, it kind of looks like we’re operating in a near tactical void. I get that we need to fire all the experienced generals, but … Can we at least get someone who’s played StarCraft or something?

Triple-Sec of War, Peat Kegsbreath, wouldn’t know the truth if it was a clean-shaven, oiled up, naked Navy man walking up to him and flirting.

  17. some_person_guy on

This guy and the rest of this administration needs to be removed. Hegseth should actually be facing serious war crime charges for all the shit he’s pulled in the past year.
