  1. It’s the internet.  Deleting stuff never succeeded in making relevant things go away.

Did it really take a avalanche of backlash to make him realize this was inappropriate.

Never mind, he doesn’t care if was appropriate or not, he only took it down due to the fact it was hurting his image more than helping it.

Actually here is my thought! I think he should grab a cross and be nailed to it bad if after 3 days we can revisit the conversation.

PS this is obviously ironic to be intertwined with his absolute narcissism

The fact that it stayed up long enough for the “Pope vs. Trump” feud to go nuclear tells you everything. You don’t get to call the Pope “weak” and “political” on Monday and then post a photo of yourself in a crown of thorns on Tuesday. Deleting it now is just damage control for the polling numbers that showed Catholic support cratering. The internet lives forever, though.

Seems like someone in the administration needs to start taking grandpa’s phone away at 8pm and replacing it with a tv remote and juice box.

  7. Doesn’t the Presidential Records Act, at least in spirit, require that he not delete shitposts?

  8. Isn’t Trump a big germophobe? If that were the case, why would he touch the sick and ailing?
