A recent convert to Catholicism who has been openly coveting a dead man’s wife on television has advice for the appointed emissary of God on this earth because well, he knows better.

Going off previous behaviour from JD towards Trump when he compared him to Hitler, this is a clear sign that JD has ambitions towards becoming the next Pope.

Because JD Vance is much more qualified to talk theology than Pope Leo.
Growing up in the Catholic Church, the worst people to be around were white male converts to the faith who think they had it all figured out, no gray, just black and white, a rule book, and were willing to tell everyone and anyone what it meant to “really be Catholic.” We called them Captain Catholic. Vance is that guy and thinks the VP slot gives him the authority to combine with his moralism. These jackasses are nothing new in the Church. We’ve just put one in a high profile political office and he needs to show fealty to his boss.
How does he think this is helping him.

Vance comes across like the world’s lamest mobster trying to intimidate an expert witness. “You know, you should be careful how you speak on matters of theology.” As if someone hasn’t quite literally said the “if you know what’s good for you” part out loud with the mention of an Avignon papacy. The pope is, by definition of the religion he purports to be, literally infallible when it comes to matters of theology. He is Jesus’s emissary on Earth. Inheritor of the church that was built upon the rock himself, Saint fucking Peter.
