    So no more tariffs?

And a million other blatantly illegal EO signed in the last 14 months….

JFC it’s only been 14 months. It feels like ten years.

It’s been my understanding for a long time that an Executive Order is a memo to the government of the moment, is not applicable to anything outside of government, subject to change when an administration changes, and is not anything close to law. Trump combines an EO with financial and judicial threat to get it to have the effect of law, which is not democratic and is, in fact, authoritarian.

That a court would agree makes me at least feel like I’m not taking crazy pills. I’m expecting the Supreme Court to endorse the Trump view, but we’ve a long road ahead to correct what’s happened to this country, this democracy, and the rule of law during this administration. If we can even get that opportunity.

  3. Proposal: we reclassify trump’s executive orders as executive delusions. The double entendre is just a nice bonus.

  4. Cool. Now can we all agree for democrats to *not* make this a central theme of their upcoming campaigns?

Executive orders never were law to begin with. That’s what Congress does. Go back to 8th grade Civics class.

This shouldn’t be a matter where the government gets involved.

Yes, biological males have advantages even after transitioning to women (more lung volume, endurance, higher muscle mass, etc.) but we don’t yet know how much change occurs in the body over time.

These sports companies need to put money into researching what happens to trans women’s bodies over time post transition so they can ensure fairness for everyone competing.

Republicans taking the route of being hateful because they don’t understand why someone would want to transition, pushing bills that strip away healthcare from these people, and basically calling for their eradication is way over the top.

Time, patience, and real studies to ensure fairness are all that’s needed. Not turning another group of people into a political target because republicans don’t like trans people or how they live.

Yes, let them all play, but make a new category called “Smurfs” for those who are not able to compete with the same people in a category, so they create new account to win and bully less experienced players.

I dont even get why this is an issue.
I also dont get why a trans mtf would even want to be in high school or college sports on the womens team. 90% of kids never play sports at all.
Women sports exist to make them fair for women.  Having men on the women’s tream defeats the entire purpose of the women’s team.   It would be taking a step back in civil rights.
People need to accept their body and stop worrying about being on the women’s team.  There are plenty of sport options that dont require you to be on a women’s only team.  Let women have their teams and stop with all this fighting.
