I actually use to be rather pro Israel, I was one of those people who called pro Palestinian protestors a bunch of stupid fucks. Nowadays though, yeah I’m on the other side of the fence, I am so fucking done with Israel that I won’t vote for any democrat who has close ties with AIPAC.

  2. Providing billions to Isreal to involve the US in pointless wars is now something that can be debated openly.

  3. It’s going to be longer than that. I’d argue that majority support for Israel will not return until Isreal realizes that it has a massive Israeli-supremacy problem coupled with a bloodthirsty xenophobic tendency that has infected a majority of the Israeli population.

Newsflash Israel: we see you, clearer than we ever have, and you’re disgusting. Love, the American people

Generations if he’s lucky. I think fundamental changes have to happen if they want it to come back at all.

Headline could be better. As terrible as he is, Bibi didn’t murder 60,000 to 600,000 civilians on his own. That takes a people.

he’s also made jewish people less safe for the next century

more jewish people have lived in the US than israel over the past 78 years – a hyper agressive far right warmongering nation that is only 1/5th the size of kentucky is counter jewish safety in this world. israel is not necessary and must be abandoned.

Bullshit. wake me up when the actual US (aka the politicians) stop giving that dogass country warfunds. They won’t, because the US is Israel’s little cuck and has been since inception.

  8. Remarkable-Matter134 on

Yep, Netanyahu has something on Trump just like Putin does. Probably something to do with the Epstein case. Whatever it is, the world has been turned upside down by Trump being afraid of these two dictators. They control him.

  9. Made_Human_Music on

That’s not the worst thing. Israel is a terrorist state and should be shunned as long as that war criminal is in charge

Unfortunately that also applies to us right now

The political version of “Shirtsleeves to shirtsleeves in three generations.”

    Well done, Beebz.

  11. He did far more than that. By aligning himself with fellow right wing autocrats like Trump, and conflating criticism of himself and his policies with criticism of Israel’s right to exist and with antisemitism, he has given a new lease to antisemitism in Europe and North America.

Trump’s followers felt betrayed and often expressed themselves in ways that were openly antisemitic and there aren’t really many people left to speak up against it.

People on the left, who correctly label their criticism as being of Bibi and his government and get called antisemitic anyway, are not going to go out of their way to correct MAGA hats, who agree with them, on their language.

It feels like discussing if a person you really can’t stand is a pedophile or an ephebophile, not worth the hassle of being technically correct if you agree with the general thrust of the argument.

He is making antisemitism acceptable again and that can only end badly.

  12. No… he torched the support US *citizens* have for Israel. But US *politicians* don’t particularly care if they use the tax dollars of american citizens for things those citizens support.

  13. It’s amazing what old politicians do to stay out of trouble in their own country. Netanyahu was on his way to prison before Oct 7th, and he let it happen. His approval rating in Israel is right around Trumps in America. They both have a lot in common.

  14. walkallover1991 on

The “it’s all Bibi” framing is kind of lazy. Bibi didn’t invent U.S. criticism of Israel, and he’s not singlehandedly driving Israeli policy in a vacuum.

A lot of Israelis support his policies in regard to Palestine – there’s a disgusting video going around of a lady who calls herself a “Centrist” who is on camera literally spewing genocidal language.

If Netanyahu disappeared tomorrow, all of Israel’s policies in regard to Palestine would still be there.

  15. Conscious-Demand-594 on

It doesn’t matter. He got what he wanted. There is no chance of a Palestinian state, and Israel has expanded it’s borders. It will permanently annex parts of Lebanon and Syria.

He still has three more years of trump to cement these gains. It will not matter what any American government does after this.

  16. I was texting my Israeli friend this morning and we agreed that if Netanyahu wins this upcoming election, Israel may likely never regain American support. Bibi is their Trump. Both fucking maniacs.

  17. Sapient-Inquisitor on

What people forget is that Bibi was WILDLY unpopular before October 2023. He was about to be impeached and booted out, but the attacks gave him a raison d’etre to continue serving

  18. Living-By-The-River on

I was supportive after Oct 7th, but then it was clearly genocide, and now the US is wasting treasure accomplishing who knows what.

  19. There should never be such a thing as unquestionable support for any country. If a country does a genocide, the country should abandon them to motivate them to choose a better path.

  20. Ok_Surprise_4090 on

Really for anyone under 60, which is currently about 3 generations’ worth of people.

  21. Madmachine87 on

MAGA Boomers are the only ones who still support Israel. Gen X, Y, and Z have all seen the truth of what Israel is and are horrified.

  22. Americans need to learn more about Israeli politics, he isn’t even the most evil they have to offer. By comparison to some of his peers in the Knesset he is basically a moderate.

The entire country is rotten to the core, they believe explicitly in their own supremacy as a people, they are radicalized and racist

  23. Fartenstein65 on

I wish this would be the truth but until this group of Republicans and establishment Democrats are out they will support Israel again and again.

  24. TheIronMatron on

He’s never done anything for Israel. Everything he’s done has been for his own power and to keep himself out of jail.

  25. Can we stop calling him fucking Bibi? He’s the leader of a country and journalists, professional journalists, call him by his childhood nickname like he’s their old pal, even the ones who criticize him. He’s Benjamin Netanyahu. Call him that.

  26. supervegeta101 on

True, but they’re getting most of, if not all, of Gaza after this so he’d probably say it’s worth it. As well as parts of Lebanon and Syria.

A generation after that, who’s gonna care? Who still says “Free Tibet”.

  27. >Bibi torched U.S. support for Israel for a generation

That would only be true if AIPAC wasn’t one of the rich 1% lobbying groups who fund all of our political campaigns for both major parties.

Folks, I’ve seen this cycle again and again and again for over 50 years now.

    Nothing is going to change.

  28. Awkward_Squad on

Nice thought but really? I don’t think so. He and his gangster psychopaths and sociopaths can do no wrong apparently

  29. ripyourlungsdave on

Yeah, don’t worry guys. The next generation will definitely fix everything. They definitely won’t warmonger and murder like every other American administration in history.
