There were already some arrests and actually, some convictions, for a 2020 election conspiracy but Trump gave them all pardons and waived their fines for participating in the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021 where some rioters and a Capitol police officer were killed when they tried to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.
