Not only are the Democrats playing Republican’s stupid gerrymandering game better than they are, but they’re winning on hard mode by putting it up for popular vote rather than just forcing it through the state legislatures.

Love seeing how we turned this red state purple then blue. My first vote was for Kerry in 2004. Thought NC was following behind us. Such disappointment.

All these redistricting efforts ought to be referred to as “Trump Redistricting” because he is the original instigator of the effort, no matter which state is doing it. It would never have happened without him, and the ultimate outcome is his own doing. MAGA can only thank myopic trump for this, nobody else.

Cons only have themselves to blame. Democrats had tried to pass legislation to stop gerrymandering and cons said no. Then they decided to start doing it at the behest of trump. So at the end they can blame themselves. I despise gerrymandering but I also know if one side openly games the system, sometimes you just have to play by their rules.

When Texas, Ohio or North Carolina does it, well it is the will of the people…when democratic states fight back, it is disenfranchisement.

[Conservatism](https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/conservatism) — by definition — is “a political philosophy based on tradition and social stability, **stressing the importance of established hierarchies and institutions** (such as religion, the family, and **class structure**), and preferring gradual development to abrupt change”.
The *sole* value of conservatism is respect for and obedience to [one’s perception of] traditionally established hierarchy, and hierarchy dictates that those on top (in-groups) are rightfully idolized and receive privileges, credibility, and resources, while those on the bottom (out-groups) are demonized/dehumanized and/or bound by restrictions, scrutiny, and lack of resources.
To them, the second-greatest injustice imaginable is for those [they perceive to be] on top [of social hierarchy] to be bound by the restrictions, scrutiny, and lack of resources reserved for those on the bottom. The first greatest injustice is for those on the bottom to have access to the rights, credibility, and resources reserved for those on top.
Every right-wing accusation is a confession — every single one; always! — because it is never *the act itself* that upsets them, but rather, the *social standing* of the person doing the act, as said act is a privilege meant for those on top of [their perceived] hierarchy (See also: pedophilia – Trump and Catholic church vs. LGBTQ+ and drag queens).
“Know your place” is their mantra.

I’m going to laugh when the Texas map doesn’t go as planned for Republicans. They drew it based on the 2024 Latino turnout only to have Trump and Stephen Miller sic ICE on those same Latinos.
News stories from the border counties are filled with Trump voters whose businesses are now failing because workers won’t show up. Construction sites are empty, farmers are struggling to get crops harvested, etc. And beyond that, ICE attacking everyone means that the people who thought the were the “right kind” of Latino because they were born here or emigrated legally are finding out that’s not true and they’re mad.
The midterms will be interesting.
