Good, goodbye. Let’s keep giving them less and less places to go. Until they’re in rural Montana thinking oh this is worth the extra 100k on the 40 millions I make.

And supply will increase because of no monopolies

If you can afford a $100-something million penthouse that you dont use, that suggests the upkeep is too cheap.
He really hasn’t done anything to make them run. And there is not much he can do without approval of city council or the State. LIke the proposed tax on wealthy who don’t live there full-time. First, it’s not a big hit and second, he can’t mandate it.
I’ve enjoyed watching him from my rube/red area in the South and listening to all the right-wing fearmongers.

If they do flee, that would be a bonus. It’s funny that they say “we’re just gonna leave then” like its a threat.
Having fewer antisocial scumbags around is good for any city.

Yeah the argument just doesn’t make sense, and when they’re like “oh we’ll leave that country” sure you will pal, you’ll just abandon that market you’re established in where you’ll continue to profit. Just gonna walk away from more money. Sure you are.

People say a lot of things. The fact remains that how someone lives today is likely how they will continue to live.
A similar thing is the concept of properly regulating and taxing corporations and the wealthy. The uninformed argument is that they will just shut their business and fire their workers. It’s an insane notion. The argument that the people who like to make money will suddenly stop doing what makes them money because they are treated like the rest of us makes no sense. Sure they’ll make slightly less money but Amazon isn’t going to stop existing if they have to pull their weight.

The people of nyc are behind mandami. The biggest tell? After the huge blizzard, the snow was gone. Just gone. Like it didn’t even snow. If the nyc workers didn’t like him and weren’t behind him they would have made that city look like snowmaggeddon for 5 days and he would have looked completely incompetent. Clearing that blizzard was a major success and that took cooperatikn and coordination. .

The wealthy have always been leeches.
Don’t them “the elite” or “the ruling class.” That kind of language subtly reinforces classist hierarchies.
Call them “the parasite class,” or “the leech class.” Because that’s what they are.
