  1. >Briefings for lawmakers regarding the cost of combat have been sparse causing pause for elected officials and their staffers.

    >“No one knows anything. And it’s not for lack of asking,” one of the aides told NBC.

    >“We have been asking for weeks and not getting specifics, even as the Pentagon is asking for a record-high budget,” the person added.

Not a penny until there’s oversight.

The lies, waste, and corruption are off the charts.

Someone’s gonna make a lot of money rebuilding and restocking them. As soon as this shit popped off there were a lot of people in northern Virginia rubbing their hands together and licking their lips.

  3. Jokes on them. The US spends most of their budget on their military complex.

    Coughcoughhackcough

Iran is doing a phenomenal job and the economic widow maker heart attack is about to hit in the next couple weeks thanks to the Hormuz closure. Shouldn’t have fucked with Iran.

  5. So apparently our military was not ready to take on Iran…what has been happening in Ukraine made it obvious the methods had changed with the technology. We knew Iran was selling drones and missiles to Russia so they had good technology…we did not keep up so we spent millions to shoot down drones costing just thousands…Israel is not in a much better situation although I believe they adapted faster. Also remember during the first Gulf war we almost ran out of some munitions, and it seems same thing happened this time.

  6. Trump has caused billions of dollars in damage to US military bases in Gulf region.

It is actually insane how the pentagon can quietly lose billions of dollars of equipment in a few weeks and their only solution is to immediately ask congress for another 200 billion tbh. the military industrial complex literally never loses ngl.

  8. Alternate title: Trump’s war has cost the US billions of dollars and shows no sign of stopping.

(But gosh, we’ve almost forgotten the Epstein files haven’t we?)

Five billion sounds like a lot until you realise that the estimated cost of of this war for the US has been about one billion dollars per day. So this is about five days worth. The US fired about 1000 patriot missiles which cost about four million each for a total of four billion dollars. Similar numbers for Tomahawks, and then again similar numbers for atacms, and so on and so on…

Gee, it’s almost like this war was an impulsive decision done without adequate forethought or planning!

Another fact that didn’t get much media play at the time, was that in the course of the rescue of the downed pilots, the military had to deliberately destroy TWO C-130 cargo planes, at a cost of over $100 million each, as well as the two Bell Helicopters that actually evacuated the pilots.

  12. Considering trump started the war ,there was no immediate threat, trump pulled out of the nuclear agreement. The US is lucky Iran hasn’t attacked American soil YET. Fuck off with sane washing trump illegal war and war crimes

  13. Just one word needs to be changed in that title and it will become way more accurate.

    Replace “Iran” with “Trump”

Billions in damage? This sits very well with Trump’s plan to degrade America. As requested by Putin.

  15. Ben Ghazi is very lucky to be in hiding, he would have been #1 suspect for letting this historic disaster happen.

Oh no! The war we already won? We better hire one of Donnie Dump’s cronies or kids to walk off with a bunch of taxpayer money after they don’t fix anything!

  17. Never mind the billions lost in damaghe to US military bases.

What about the appalling loss of lives that Trump has caused. Time to resurrect and adjust that famous chant from the 1960s:

“Hey, hey, hey Donny J, how many folks did you kill today?”

  18. If only DJT were made to pay for this out of his ill gotten crypto gains…someone should sue.

  19. Intro-Nimbus on

Not really surprising, I think the majority expected Iran to do damage. USA prioritized the personnel and evacuated beforehand, and keeping casualties as low as possible is the one thing I think they did right.

Putin has played Trump like a fiddle. Weaken US economy, reputation, military power, amd take care of Russian opponents… God, were suckers.

  21. NoString9289 on

I agree, there is so much that the US military “Trump” does not tell the public . He does not want his enemies celebrating attacks on the US bases, the ones that the Ayatollah had fired on for years, before the war

  22. Travelerdude on

Trump is responsible for billions in damage to military bases and far worse. A depletion of resources.
