Lying is the standard practice in the Trump Administration

> “There’s no information that we have that suggests that the money they were paying to these informants and these members of these organizations, they then turned around and shared what they learned with law enforcement,” Blanche said on Fox News after announcing the indictment.
JFC they went with a lie so easily disproven. Did they not expect a group of lawyers to not keep documents? DOJ is making Cooley graduates look like legal geniuses.

Why is the Trump administration always on the wrong side of racism?

Its not about the truth it is how loyal you are to the current administration. Coming after the Southern Poverty Law center is a test case for when they go after the ACLU.

MAGA was foaming at the mouth before this politically motivated “indictment” even had any legs.
They presented these manufactured accusations as foregone conclusions because they don’t care about facts, they care about selling a narrative that validates their white nationalism, their culture war grievances, their bigotry and victimhood.
This frivolous, partisan, and ideological “indictment” is a convenient distraction from the rampant fraud ACTUALLY being carried out by the current administration.
An administration that’s trying desperately to cover up the injustices its commiting while drawing attention away from its own scandals and corruption.
An administration that’s promoting white nationalist and nativist sympathies while pushing a counter-narrative that’s trying to dispel the reality of white supremacy.
Those supporting this partisan charade either belong to these extremist groups or sympathize with them.
In recent years, the right has escalated its violent rhetoric and extremist behavior.
Narratives like the “great replacement theory,” culture wars and moral panics have become commonplace.
This behavior has come to define the right as hysterical victims of some kind of new world order and anti-white, anti-christian bias.
Being a victim has helped them justify their frequent attacks against minorities, immigrants and marginalized groups. They’ve turned the *actual* victims into the oppressors and vice versa.
The people behind this whole effort have framed the current political and cultural climate as one that unfairly discriminates against *them.* A notion lacking in sincerity and rooted in the far right’s conspiracy theories and white nationalist propaganda.
A notion that not only conveys them as the victims, but their enemies as the *real* racists, an important caveat here.
Those defending this indictment identify in many ways with domestic extremists and view any sort of charge against them as an egregious assault on the collective rights and freedoms of the group.
They see accountability as persecution, equality as oppression, diversity as “replacement.”
They feel threatened by a growing awareness of the inequities being perpetuated by those who have long benefitted from the status quo.
So it becomes an attack on their very identity as people of a certain creed, ideology, race, ethnicity, religion, culture, and/or heritage.
And when these dominant structures face resistance, it amounts to an ultimate violation because they fear that their hierarchy and hegemony is collapsing.
So they drum up charges to discredit the people who dare to disrupt this natural order and challenge their power and superiority.
But they can’t say the quiet part out loud so they characterize this act of insubordination as a miscarriage of justice that’s part of a larger pattern of abuses aimed at them.
The perpetrators of this are of course depicted as part of an evil, “woke,” “radical left” institution that has been needlessly victimizing them out of some sense of growing hatred and hostility towards the wholesome white, often conservative christian population.
But SPLC is one of MANY civil rights organizations that investigate domestic extremism and bring lawsuits against these groups because they are indeed part of a growing trend.
The efforts of these organizations are rooted in a demand for justice and equality, not anti-white prejudice, and efforts that acknowledge a reality where incidents of white supremacy and acts of political violence and radicalism are on the rise.
Sadly, MAGA *needs* these accusations to be true of all civil rights institutions because it will give them an excuse to reassert their illiberal beliefs and attitudes without the risk of consequences or accountability.
They want so badly to turn reality on its head so they can justify a history of nativism, discrimination, extremism, racism and bigotry—insisting that they were the victims the whole time, and that this retroactively entitles them to be hateful, resentful and even cruel towards their newfound oppressors.

What’s wild is how effective Trump is with his minions announcing these charges and the meme machine and right wing disinformation machine is off and running with how the Dems started the KKK and are funding it now – when in fact the informants the SLPC paid had helped to share info with law enforcement that prevented violence and attacks.

Bill Barr’s DOJ seems virtuous compared to this one.
